Long story short I have been married going on 8 years now, we have a 2 year old as well. Decent marriage, the usual arguments.. I do love my wife and she has made me a better person and ive been disgusted with the thought of being with anyone but her. But since I have been going back to the gym I'll have random thoughts about hooking up with a girl at the gym. Anyone ever experienced this? I don't like it at all and I would never act on it, but just having the thoughts is irritating me. Weird situation to be in. Reps for decent answers!
I'm reading it right now and a recent chapter talks about how men need different things at different points in their lives. For example, if you get with a woman and marry her and she's a fiery hothead, which is what attracted you to her in the first place, you need that energy in your life and you love it. But then you change jobs and you have a lot more stress and disorder at work, you will need a cooler headed woman as your wife's energy is just too much for you at this point in your life. It doesn't mean you should cheat or leave her, it just means you need to be aware of what's happening and take steps to have your needs met.
It's a complex topic but just understand that love and energies change, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should cheat, as cheating usually creates more complexity and stress in your life. Plus IMO it's immoral. But regardless, you and everyone reading this post should buy and read that book. Lots of good info in there.

I rejoined tinder and girls are messaging me like crazy. Now she came over and we are kind of back together but I’m like what to do. Should I mess around? Should I just get back with her? Should I just tell her the truth and enjoy multiple peopke? Idk.

Marriage is a true test of a man’s character. If you’re a man of any value, you’ll be tested often with temptation, and unlike men, a lot of women don’t give a F if you’re married. It’s very hard to stay the course if you’ve been with a lot of women and things with your wife hit a rough patch, with all this temptation around. I haven’t been married 7 years but I can already feel this. I just try to think about my children and all the positive things. I have no plans of leaving my wife, so it’s strictly a sexual thing. But goddammit it’s hard when a 23 y/o fresh nurse is flirting with you, even though she knows you’re married with children.
