But the thing is that I doubt that the portion sizes are what makes him fat. If you're eating home cooked whole foods, I don't see how you can get in enough calories to get fat, even if you're eating as much as you want and using fatty cuts of meat and being liberal with the rice. The volume of food in whole foods is just too much and the calorie density isn't high enough.

As a personal example, when I tried dirty bulking in college with an unlimited meal plan, I was eating as much food as I could and chugging protein shakes in whole milk with peanut butter but I never got past 220lbs. Another example is Matt London got up to 270lbs but he was eating a jar of peanut butter a day. To get into the upper 200s, you really need to be force feeding or eating junk and probably adding liquid calories on top of that. You really have to go out of your way, it doesn't just happen by accident so something definitely isn't adding up if Godfrd is saying his main diet is home cooked stuff.
Well when I posted a 1300 cal dinner, Johnvee thought it was 400 calories.

I'm also 6'2 at about 250lbs right now, so not as fat as I used to be. When I was bigger I ate about 5000 - 7000 calories a day. Same diet I had while in the military, but without the military active lifestyle, you balloon up fast.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

See, that's how it doesn't add up. 5000-7000 calories adds up but getting that amount from whole foods does not add up.

Since vegetables don't add that much, I asked ChatGPT how much fatty meat and rice it would take to get 5000-7000 calories and it gave the below. You're telling me you were eating up to 4lbs of meat a day for example?

Balding is death. If you have no hair, you have no life.

Lol. That's funny to me. I try to control what I eat because I am diabetic and don't care for the needles. But every once in a while we'll have a family function and my wife will cook my favorite foods (Dominican Food).

And let me just post a single one of those meals, which I track because I have to do the calcs for the insulin I have to take to offset what I have eaten on carbs. Give me a min to go through my logs.

Here's what I found over the last few months. I've been trying to keep my overall calories under 3500, but every two weeks or so I have a "cheat" meal.

These are some, not all on the same day though.

Any of these would just be a amuse bouche for Johnvee.

You should try peanut butter stew.

Potatoes are better, but not by much. I'm already doing more protein than rice, but I'm gonna have to cut out carbs all together.
