Love these threads. Subbing forsure.

OP I don't want to bring negativity to this but I'll be honest. Just recently an older gentlemen left the corporate company I work for after 50 years. He spent a total of 90,200 hours working for an organization that ended up making his role redundant. To put this in perspective, It takes 9-10,000 hours to get to a World Class level at anything.

This hit me pretty hard when I heard about it...I know what I want in life and want to turn it into a reality. I have complete focus to the point where I have sacrificed everything a normal 21 year old would indulge in and success is in the only option I envision. I don't have what you call " life balance" and wonder if it will be worth it in the end as people say the choices you make in your young years will dictate the rest of your life. This persuite is not surrounded by money or a successful business but a craft.

What are your thoughts?

No negativity received. As I said in OP-
Select a career you love regardless of the money, cause you never know when you will be kicked to the curb,
unless you want to be self-employed.

If you enjoy doing what you are doing, regardless of money, you will be satisfied. Pursue what you want, don't stress if it will turn out like the older gentleman, It may and it may not, but if you are doing what you like, what does it matter?

Oh yeah, something else I would say to me:

When you are 21, you are going to meet a former San Diego Chargers linebacker who is going to offer you some Dbol (for a price). Do not take it for it will make you into a raging psychotic in just 3 weeks. There is enough natural test in your body at 21 to make really good gains.

And listen to the linebacker later when he tells you that his equipment isn't good anymore for anything but urinating.

From a mature standpoint - what's the best way to ask a girl out and make it work without being friend-zoned?

I know a girl from a summer class, a family type of girl who has goals to go to PA school (determined mentality type)

Absolutely - depending on the scale of the store and the payment methods you want to take there are multiple options.
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-e-commerce/

That is a popular option that a lot of people use - you could also check this out:
http://www.woothemes.com/woocommerce/

The second would require you to purchase the theme, but both are pretty user-friendly.

Been asked already but here are cliffs.
Was asthmatic kid, got pumped full of prednisone early on
Heaviest weight in life (adult) was 335 (see pic)Attachment 5800621
Lifted and cut down to 225, Product tester for Legal Gear back in day of Product X
20 " arms, 38" waist (early 40s)
Sustained horrible groin pull, figured I would heal up, but it took tooooo long
Quit lifting, gained back 50 lbs, much sadness
Trying to get back down again (yes I lift but not as regularly as I should)
Trying to diet and find cardio that works with leg rehab

The biggest issue is that you have things you enjoy together. Find out what she likes and what you also like, and not just banal stuff like watching movies. Pick something with some human interaction. Be real that you think of her more than just a friend, but don't be pushy.

Girls like honesty, unless they are the type that are looking to manipulate, then that will show up early because they will use that honesty against you. So real real, don't be pushy and for goodness sake don't push the sex issue. Her shields will go up quick if she is a sincere/nice girl and you are trying to get her pants off. I have seen guys blow perfectly good opportunities because they can't keep the wanker in check.

Military Brah here, you remind me so much of my father its crazy he said so many of the same things and he made similar mistakes that you did, i was fortunate enough to have a great dad although i have made plenty of my own mistakes like sleeping with alot of girls early on and burning bridges forever from drinking. I just wish I had a passion for something, kinda why I joined the air force, buying time to figure out what I want to do and it seemed like the right thing to do, a productive use of time until i know who i want to be.

Been helping old friends from high school with lifting dieting etc. and starting to lean towards that way as a career, it makes me feel so good that they see my progress and ask for help.

Especially my big brother who is over 400 lbs he finally broke down and asked me for help, ive been praying for him to do it for the longest time, ive been so scared im going to lose him at an early age!
Thank for the wisdom OP.

All the drinking. I have an earlier post with my daughter asking me why we lived in a pound for people (govt housing)
I told her because daddy was drinking when he should have been paying attention in college
She said "how come you didn't love me and mommy enough then, not to do that"

$40 per week on booze for 30 years works out to $62,400. Easy to spend more than that in a night at an expensive club. Adds up really quickly.

subbed to thread.. lots of great advice. Do you have any tips for writing long (10 pages at least) research essays (or just things in general)? this summer class is kicking my ass and writing is definitely my weakest skill set with school. I can't stay focused and the first half of my papers are always way better than the second.

Writing is a true passion of mine so I don't get them feels. However if you can spin topics so that you are doing stuff that's interesting, well then. Example. Had to do a US history term paper. Used to hate history, Asked teacher if I could do paper on Oakland Raiders. He said yes since the were part of US history. ACED it!
