Is it worth it to get a PS5 now? And if so what’s the best military shooter game?

I’m getting this itch to go back to some gaming lol

All I played was Madden, metal gear solid and first shooter games then life took over and just stopped. What’s the most realistic first shooter out there?

Battlefield 6 is honestly the best mix of fun and "military" all things considered especially on PS5. There are much better milsims out there but for me, they just lost the fun factor wayyyy too quick.

If you're on console, just play Battlefield, its way better than COD and it actually has modes that feel at least like theyre pretending to give you that military feel without sucking the fun out of gaming.

Insurgency Sandstorm is still the GOAT.

But not on consoles since they only support 10v10.

BF Redsec is battle royale slop. BF6 is probably still the best FPS out there, in terms of being casual while not having too much "movement tech" BS. That said the devs seem intent on doing everything they can to make the game worse while not fixing bugs, and the drip feed is slower than an 80 year old man with an enlarged prostate.

If you're more into the milsim genre then Hell Let Loose is good, and Insurgency Sandstorm is as well. Idk how many people still play Arma 3 but that was the standard for milsim for a while. It's been ages since I played that though.

Buy the console and enjoy it sooner instead of later. By the time the next system comes out, you'll have already decided whether you want to get back into gaming or not.
