Introducing: GhostMeBoyos v0.5- post history remover

Because it asks for user & pass, I'll post code on GitHub.
It's not logged, user/pass gets pasted to user/pass field on sign-in page, that's it.
Trust is huge. I'm not trying to screw you over.
Feel free to test it on a burner account. & do ask questions you may have.
If you know better ways to do things, please share.

Here's how the script works: It opens a clean slate Firefox.exe (AKA no adblockers, cookies, saved logins, etc)

Manual:
0) Click "ghostmeboyos.exe"
1) Enter user/pass
2) Manually click off '15% disc pop up' (wait for it to load)
3) Enter "Y", press enter
4) Enter starting page # (1-999, etc.)

Automation:
5) Signs in & loads dark theme
6) Goes directly to post history search
7) Enters first thread, edits -> deletes (repeats for entire page)
8) Goes to next page & repeats 6.

Requirements: Windows OS, Firefox.
READ:READ:ver0.7 released. 0.6b (experimental) and 0.5 (stable) are still available. download below. updates: 0.7 opens 5 tabs

Alright I'm back. Let me know if you guys have any questions. I'll update the OP so it makes more sense and the features I'd like to add and why it's not entirely manual.

Will also make a burner account and test code. Let me know if you guys have tried it out already as we need some feedback to make it decent.

For clarification, I've tested up until it where it edits & cycles through posts of threads of multiple pages of threads. Never tested the delete function otherwise I'd have my threads like this one removed, lol.

browser.find_element(By.CLASS_NAME, 'username').click() # open username menu

That clicks on your username in a thread which opens up the "View profile, posts, private message" option.

Selenium, the library I'm using, operates the browser as if a human was clicking and moving through tabs. It's finding the element on the page and clicking it.

it clicks the first username brah so the OP of the thread I think (mind u I'm just reading the code not actually running it)

driver.findelement i believe if it has more than one elemenet matching, it returns the first one (not a selenium expert but I believe that's the case)

use an xpath with the actual username instead and do a while there is that element with that xpath existing

foo = browser.find_elements(By.XPATH, '//a/strong[text()='miscerForLulz']')

something like that

it "works" because you probably tested it with threads you created
if you're not the OP, it won't work (like 90% sure)

use an xpath like above and loop until you can't find any element matching on the current page (and if you want to make it better, once you clear all the posts from page 1, there might be page 2 and 3 and so on you try looping through the pages)

Yeah I see what you're saying. I'd have to see how I can tweak that. I guess there is that welcome (username) thing at the top so I can copy that then find that string in the thread.

edit: I'm talking before getting to the post history. It 100% works after getting there because I track post by the post ID. After your past USER CP, code 100% works (at least cycling through each post and editing it regardless of who created it).

you already get username and password from input so just reuse the variable on line 7

Will look into implementing identifying if thread is yours. Cuz then if you get 404 or something that signifies there's no thread, that process can be dropped and script can continue. Lines 54 to 57 is how I identify the exact post to land on and the exact one to edit (since latest posts are first in history, but last in the thread).

idk where it redirects you after you delete...not sure after that but yeah it's a good start

also if you are not aware, you can copy the xpath by opening your dev tools in the browser, locating the element in your inspector and right click the source code element and copy->xpath (most browsers have this)...you might need to figure out custom xpaths (like anchors containing text like above) but it isn't too hard tbh

browser.switch_to.window(window_name=window_name)

It goes back to the first tab. Prior to this it "...window_handles[-1]" to go to the last tab.
Script opens one tab at a time. Two tabs open max (post history tab + post link)

User CP is just a means to an end to get to user post history. User CP nor post history results open in new tab. We immediately want to leave the CP since it's only use is the fastest path to post history (through repped posts).

I know I said I didn't test code, but I tested the fuk out of it besides the deletion part. Will look into POM, but yeah it's a lot of info to take in and I don't think it should be too much code to get something basic working.

Back to checking if thread OP, I remembered that it goes from first to last in post history. Your most recent posts are first in post history, so you'd most likely not have to check that, BUT that'd work if someone had a link to your threads. It's messy. Baby steps.

Idk brah. Someone asked me to make this ciht 4 days ago. I did. Source code is in OP. You could copy it and run it yourself if wanted.

EDIT: What I would LOVE help on is getting rid of the FKING 15% off popup. If anyone knows how lol. If I get rid of that then all people need to do is enter their info.

Use an explicit wait with some expected condition (like wait until element is visible)

Use a try/catch...inside the try, wait until element (The popup close button) is visible...then click it. Set a default timeout like 30 seconds to wait for the popup...if it hits the catch, it probably means the popup didn't come up (catch the specific exception thrown after 30 seconds) and don't do anything inside the catch.
