Actually when an atheist raises children well they are a far better example in the world than a god fearing bible basher

They teach and care and raise their children right not from some fear of god, or from biblical teachings, not to a prescription laid down by preachers but because their inner morality makes them do so. Because how else would they act but the way they feel to be right.

God fearing folk should look to atheists not to Gods teachings. Only then will their motives be pure

my thing (our thing, me and my wife) is that i didn't want my boys to hear every bible story from some school mate when they hit 8 years old and get roasted bc they dunno who zacchaeus is or wat a burnin bush is and chit. so for that reason i read simple kids bible stories (but WAY more greek myth stories bc they are more metal). also my wife takes them to church on sunday (maybe once a month) so i can either sleep in or start on a house project. she thinks it is a good way to be a part of the community, but im not sure the tradeoff is there bc i think church sucks ass (boring).

It’s important to bring kids up with an understanding of religion else how would they comprehend the world, history, art, literature. Greek and Roman myths are the best kids stories

Kids are born believers too so it’s easy till they hit pre pubescence

Bring them up with enough knowledge so they can make their own decisions ...I wouldn’t care if my children became religious ...when my youngest entered the school system there was a media story that the most common religion declared for children that year was Jedi

thats cool i live in a red ass state so i want my kids to be able to blend in if they want to and claim protestant if it suits them. my wife a yankee and she will tell people to they face she's a atheist. i was always afraid of people's reaction, srs.

You sure about that? Because I have heard a lot of believers ask atheists "if there's no god, heaven, or hell, then why don't you just go shooting random people?" My usual answer to that is "if you need a god to not go around shooting random people, I'll drive you to church myself every Sunday, just to make sure you don't go killing anyone".
