******** bans White Nationalism from Platform

******** is banning white nationalism and white supremacy from its social network following criticism that it had not done enough to eliminate hate speech on its platform.

The social media giant said in a blog post Wednesday that conversations with academics and civil rights groups convinced the company to expand its policies around hate groups.

“Today we’re announcing a ban on praise, support and representation of white nationalism and separatism on ******** and Instagram, which we’ll start enforcing next week,” the company wrote in the post. “It’s clear that these concepts are deeply linked to organized hate groups and have no place on our services.”

Scrutiny of ******** reached new heights in the past two weeks after a gunman in Christchurch, New Zealand, used ******** to livestream his attacks on two mosques that killed 50 people.

Under ********’s change, people who search for terms associated with white supremacy will instead see a link to the page of Life After Hate, a nonprofit that helps people to leave hate groups, the company said.

White nationalism is another term used for western nationalism which like it or not is a system you are very much integrated into and so is every other citizen in ALL western countries.

All races can and are part of a white/western nationalist society unless they are trying to destroy the country deliberately or live off the grid.

With that said I can see how having the word white makes it come off as racist, but confusing white nationalism with white supremacy are two vastly different things. Nowadays if you mention being a nationalist you are labeled a racist which is absurd.

It's the equivalent of being part of a sports team and secretly striving for your team to lose, it makes no sense.

I prefer the term economic nationalism which is still not much different than white nationalism but takes the racist connotations out so victim mentality individuals don't jump to conclusions, like you are doing right now.
