Christianity > Atheism for a society regardless of facts IMO
I am personally a hopeful agnostic but I would much prefer to live in an overwhelmingly Christian society than an Atheistic one.
It actually doesnt even have to be christian, just any religion thats not Islam tbh. The structure, cohesion, and morality they provide is far more constructive to a good society than anything Atheism provides. Its also a glue that people can unite over.
Nothing against individual atheists, as they can be perfectly moral people (that grew up in a culture whose morals are rooted in religion but thats besides the point), but from a societal viewpoint, atheism is destructive more than constructive imo.
So to my Christian, buddhist, hindu, zoroastrian, jewish, ect misc brothers, keep up the fight, we all need you.
edit: by “facts” i can only mean that of which we can conclude by simple logic based on what we know of the universe currently, NOT what could be actual fact based on future discoveries

Correct. Religion teaches compassion, morality, being part of something greater than yourself, the ability to take instruction etc etc etc.
Even if you are not religious you sure as hell want neighbors who are and subscribe to these values. Religion can be flawed, because we as people are flawed, but our turning away from traditional values has been absolutely disastrous for our society in the past 50-70 years.

Religions have a nasty habit of getting drunk on power and considering the current state of the Catholic church, no thanks Jeff.

Is there no limit to what people will believe if it is prefaced by the phrase,
