I love Reagan, and i've written him in twice on presidential ballots, but as far as rankings go he's not even close to top 10. As far as universally loved... I don't think any of us are qualified or have the data to make such an assertion.

Great POTUS and man. He restored American patriotism when it was near an all time low, scared the Soviet Union into democracy (of sorts), and oversaw a booming economy.

I mentioned the supply side economics. The rich tax breaks were long overdue as they had suffered tax inequality and still suffer it today. Middle class weren't paying their fair share at that time. Social security needs to be abolished

I can tell you that I remember sitting with my family watching TV when the USSR fell and it was like watching a fantasy. Like Darth Vader getting killed. The threat of nuclear war hung over all our heads back then. You younger guys don't know what that is like. It is a completely different feeling, especially when you are a kid and had to go through nuclear war drills at school.

What if I told you that every (R) that ran for president was Reagan and every (D) Carter/Dukakis....and the only thing has changed in America, thanks to our legal immigration system, were the voter demographics. Our democratically elected representative govt is built on basic math.

From 1984 to 2016 (R) have picked up ~9million votes (54 million to 63 million) (2016 Trump largest ever (R) vote getter)

From 1984 to 2016 (D) have picked up ~29 million votes( 37 million to 66 million)

Would be ~32 million if 2008 Obama numbers were included which was highest ever for (D)
