There is a small portion of Kansas City in Kansas.

The forgotten people. The minority.

These are the people drawn to trump - the middle America hard working forgotten ones.

On the heels of the super bowl commercial Trump did about his criminal reform changes ,thus reversing the discriminatory legislation passed by Clinton, highlighted his total package of work that has made more improvements for minorities than any President in recent history.

The Kansas City tweet recognizing the small forgotten portion that lives in Kansas , on the heels of the related Super Bowl commercial, further showed his appreciation for the forgotten minority

Technically it's 2 separate cities that share a border , but technicalities don't recognizes the ostracized feeling people have.

Except that the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium, in the state of Missouri. But carry on...

They do , but Trump wouldn’t want to associate with those racist fans especially after Ferguson.

let's be real now, the Kansas thing was a bit embarrassing for a gaffe....

But the fact the left have to go so far out of their way to highlight stuff like that speaks to how little ammo of real criticism they have left.

Im a Trump fan but it is a goof (especially for people in this region). The people in this region are very particular about this issue. The company I work for has an office in Tiffany Springs and I made the mistake of calling Kansas City, Kansas. I dont think I've lived it down to this day.

My understanding is the people in KC Missouri think the people from Kansas are redneck trashy. The Kansas people think the people from Missouri are stuck up city slickers...

Trump has 72 meeyun twitter followers. No amount of lefty "highlighting" compares to the exposure he gave himself on that one.

I didn't watch the SOTU, but I did see the Pelosi gaffes.

That said, I'm absolutely stunned this morning. The media are all essentially saying Trump crushed it and everything he said had an uplifting message about the country.

If you didn't think the Democrats were screwed before, you certainly should now. Having back to back nights of contrast between the Iowa caucus and SOTU makes the Democrats inept.

This is not exactly true. KC Kansas (Wyandotte County) is part trashy part ghetto. Except out by Kansas Speedway. KCK is pretty run down. Kansas City Missouri is no different that any other big city in that the older neighborhoods close to downtown are pretty ghetto but once you get out into the surrounding communities, you get into nicer middle and upper class areas. Downtown KCMO has been revitalized and is a pretty fun area for the most part. KCK not so much. A lot of the richer parts of the metro are actually in Kansas just south of Kansas City in Overland Park. It's a weird dynamic but outside of the ghetto areas on both sides of the state line, there are very nice areas. You can find million dollar neighborhoods in any direction. I have never heard anyone call people on the Missouri side stuck up or city slickers. LOL

Bigly un-American if you ask me. Draft dodgers with zero shame.

You're aware that he wasn't at a live sporting event in that video, right? It was a SB party in WPB where the game was on TV. Did you stand for the anthem at home when you watched the SB? With your hand over your heart? Also, and this is a small point, she had her right hand over her heart. The video is flipped. Pretty weird you're willing to call someone names over something that you're so obviously wrong about. LMAO.

Not to mention the MSM is full DNC propaganda at this point.

But you act like dems are generally respectful? And trump should just roll over and take it?
wasn't silly crying in the insult thread about how everyone gangs up on him and he needs to fight back?

You appear to know much more about the area than I do. I have traveled around KC extensively and have eaten more BBQ than I care to admit. I've spent most of my time in Overland (I worked for Sprint) and Tiffany. I dont fully understand the cultural "play" between Missouri and Kansas, however.

..I guess the main point I was trying to make is that the people from Kansas City definitely take offense to being called Kansas. They want it to be clear they are from Missouri and not Kansas...From my experience its definitely a regional goof by el hefe POTUS.

Do our forum Liberals feel this was a mistake by Nancy to rip the speech that had those heroes in it?

It didn’t look right. I wonder if she regrets doing this. The brother of the murdered man went after her hard on TV. I understand she was mad, but this was a bad idea.

OK, so I’ve now had the chance to watch the full speech in its entirety and all I can say is congratulations to America and the American people. Trump smashed the speech and is doing a bang up job as president, despite the best efforts of all those goblins trying to undermine American resurgence at every turn out of pure spite.

America has always been great, don’t let jealous losers like some from my country tell you any different. But America has taken a beating in recent years and had been slipping as a result of an agenda motivated by shame instead of American exceptionalism. Trump has led the charge to not only return to former levels of greatness, but then onto heights even greater than before.

He’s thrown the gauntlet down. If you’re American and love your country and either believe in American exceptionalism or wish to strive for it, stick with him. If you do not, go with the other side. At this point, it really is that simple, even if you sometimes disagree with things he does and says. He is truly about MAGA as shown in this speech.

In b4 CNN/MSNBC/Vox/NYT/WaPo “fact checkers” pointing out that Tuskegee Airman Charles McGee was not born a century ago like Trump said. A century is literally 100 years but McGee was born 100 years and 40 days ago. “Verdict: mostly untrue/lie” lol
