People have been bitching about being at war for decades, now people will be bitching how we should have stayed decades longer.

Internet's a wonderful place.

then you are ignoring the situation on the ground, we are at an effective stalemate that will not change in 1, 2 or even 10 years. if that is the case there will never be a good time to pull out as the situation is at a standstill.

Someone has to ask the question...

What have been the pros/cons of us intervening in the ME for the last 20 years? At least lets talk net positives/negatives.

Syria: Civil war destroyed a country that while hostile to us, didn't actually bomb us. Our Syrian rebel fighters can't beat them and we supported Islamists for a while -3.

Iran: Nuclear deal comes and goes 0 , gained influence in Iraq, Yemen, Syria -2. Have protests and high disillusionment amongst civilians regarding government(thanks to sanctions pre-2000)+2

Afghanistan: Bin Laden dead, Taliban resurgent. Fragile af democracy. Womens rights still nonexistent.

Iraq: Where the fuk to start. Saddam dead +1, ISIS/Al Qaeda -2. Iranian influence spreading -2

Saudi: Supporting MBS who is basically a load of TNT put on the Titanic -5, Not stopping Saudi royal support for 9/11 attackers -15.

Qatar: Taking Saudi's side on the Qatar issue, Qatar grows closer to Iran/Russia -3.

Yemen: in a court we might get found guilty of accessory to genocide honestly, pretty dark stuff Obama started/Trump continued. -5

General: Thousands of US troops dead. Hundreds of Thousands/possibly millions dead. -10000000000000000000000

I'm actually OK with this. Pulling out of Afghanistan and Syria seems wise.

The only country I'd support a war with is Iran, mostly because of their threat to Israel.

Well, this is actually one that was justified in starting. At the time, it was where OBL was holed up and AQ had their bases immediately after the 9/11 attack. 17 years later, I think it's time to get out. I could give a fukk about the Taliban. They're a bunch of goatherders who don't have the means to attack us in any way. We can't be the world police. I'd be OK with pulling back all foreign military deployments everywhere in the world. We could probably cut the military budget in half and just protect this country. We don't allow foreign bases on US soil, so why are we stationing troops in other people's countries? No one who lives there likes foreign military in their back yard.

Putin’s cashing in his chips before the impeachment process begins. Apparently he called up Trump and told him to start harming the US whether his cucks like it or not by weakening the military and pulling out of occupied territories.

Trump does what Putin orders

My view on all this intervention

1. We either do it through blatant imperialism and clearly explain all of the benefits to the American middle class

or

Orrrrrr....he ran on that platform to get elected, because that is what America wants.

And then once elected he did the bidding of his masters...Globalists and the MIC.

Trump is not controlled by them however, which drives them crazy.

Really at a loss for words how Trump is doing something that every lib in the US would have applauded if Obama did it, but because Trump?

Alternatively: he got into office and realized that the situation is way more complicated than that, then Trump got into office and didn't care that the situation is way more complicated than that.

It isn't more complicated. The ME does not affect the US in any way but oil. Period.

And we entered the ME for one reason, to keep ME oil away from China. And to feed the MIC and its corporate puppets with MONEY.

Again, if you think we need to be there and have more American lives lost? For literally no reason then to generate money for globalists?

Please go.

If Obama had done the same? I would have praised him for doing so.
