Beats me, a voter ID makes sense to me. It should be built into my driver license or any state ID.

If I can get a gold star printed on my license from a AAA storefront who verified my passport, how hard is it to verify my citizenship and put another gold star or something that allows me to vote.

Well another thing to makes it weird is that minority voters already have IDs just like any other functioning adult considering you need them for basically everything in life.

So you're down to this combination of individual that voter IDs would impact.

1. Doesn't already have an ID
2. Wants to vote
3. Isn't able to travel to a DMV or can't afford $10

How many people do you think that is nationwide? 100 people?

Also I would bet me entire life savings that if said person wanted help getting to the DMV or wanted charity to pay for it they would have no issue with said "needs" from any of the thousands of political action agencies/NPs, etc

So that leaves the only real impact voter ID laws would have and that would be making it more difficult for non citizens to vote.

Early voting is the easiest thing. I go across the street after work to the Library and I’m out in 10 minutes. We don’t need the day off.

making it a holiday wont improve voting. here in hawaii, it's a state holiday yet only 36% of registered voters came out to vote, despite mail-in absentee voting and same day registration.

I am 100% serious. There's plenty of information that I could validate that I am who I say I am. On top of encryption, fingerprints and i'm sure there are plenty of security features that could be used.
