Might be snakes but they are better then all of the other nations in their area. Modern day Islam has set that entire region back. And to think, there was a time when the people of Islam were enlightened, educated, builders of roads and cities, etc.

Israel is a great nation, one of the best outside of the US. They are perfectly legitimate. The Palestinians have been given numerous opportunities to have their own state. They have rejected those deals because they won't give up on their idea that all of Israel should belong to them. The Palestinian's plans, if they had their way, would likely result in another holocaust.

Repped, good post. Yes, some of the aggression Israel directs at the Muslims attacking it are extreme - but it is in direct response to how they are treated. What country on Earth would you expect to just allow daily attacks without defending themselves?

I consider Israel legitimate not for religious reasons - but they were given the land through legal channels and, as another pointed out, have proven themselves by defending Israel from numerous attacks. (including one where the surrounding Arab countries launched an attack on Yom Kippur, the holiest day for Jews). If the Arabs had their chit together, they would have taken Israel long ago, they outnumber Israelis greatly, and they have tried repeatedly. If Israel's founding via the UN rubs you the wrong way, the fact that they have FOUGHT numerous wars to protect the land should be enough to deem it legitimate.

Mind you - they never seized and occupied anything - whatever land they've acquired has been through defense. Notably, in the Six Day War (1967) Israel expanded its territory to include the West Bank and other "controversial" territories. In this war, the following countries combined forces to attack Israel and still failed: Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Algeria.

The Arabs have literally tried to seize Israel by force and have failed multiple times. So now they are resorting to propaganda and UN shills to try to take it over politically.

And again - the irony is that Arab Israelis have a better quality of life than any Arab in any of the surrounding countries. Muslims comprise 18% of Israel's population. Jews comprise .002% of Egypt's population. Not only is Israel wrongly vilified for defending itself - it is a far more open and welcoming society than any surrounding Muslim nation.

It became clear where the allegiances lie for our dual citizen politicians during W's lead up to the Iraq war. You saw people like democrat senator Joseph Lieberman join the republicans in pushing for it.

Pretty much our entire foreign policy has been shaped by Israel-firsters for decades. All because they're paranoid that one of their neighbors is gonna get powerful enough to do some damage.

Unfortunately for them, their shortsightedness and stupidity has only resulted in one enemy rising out of the chaos to become far more powerful, far faster than they otherwise would have (Iran).

Toppling Iraq was one of the biggest blunders of our century.

Now Iran is forging heavy ties with Russia and China and has guaranteed survival. The Syria that rises out of the ashes will be far more powerful than it otherwise would have been.

Israelis are fukken idiots.

Not to mention that they have the "systemic racism" that Marxist scum are daydreaming about in the US

Lol seriously.

People don’t realize that the modern day “Palestines” were given the choice from the British/Israel to stay in the land as citizens of Israel or to freely leave. The ones that wanted to leave couldn’t go anywhere because NONE of the surrounding Muslim countries would accept them. The surrounding Muslim countries continuously went to war after war with Israel, and Israel whooped their ass time and time again. It was through these war of Israel defending themselves, that they claimed strategic land. They won the land fair and square. Like every country before it, through wars.

Now I will say, there does seem to be a few land grabs within the last 10 years that are kinda suspect, and there may be a legitimate gripe there.

But still, Israel has been a shining beacon of western civilization in an area of NOTHING. If Israel hadn’t built up that land in the last 80 years, it would be nothing but shantys.

The reason Iraq is a failed state today comes down to Paul Bremer issuing Coalition Provisional Authority Order #2, which disbanded the entire Iraqi military, with little to no warning. The Coalition Provisional Authority disenfranchised all of the Sunnis and then suddenly created an army of unemployed soldiers, many of whom turned to AQI and later ISIS.

But you're right--the end result was that we completely removed Iraq as a check on Iran's power and the situation we're left with today is a Middle Eastern Cold War between Iran and Saudi Arabia that we're seeing play out all over the Gulf region.

As far as supporting Israel, your argument is pretty weak. Israel is the only liberal democracy in the region and a pretty natural ally for the US. Israel isn't secretly controlling American policy behind the scenes; we choose to support Israel because it's the most logical move. A weakened or non-existent Israel would weaken the US' ability to drive events on the world stage. What's the alternative, supporting Iran?

About as legitimate as the US from conquering the natives. Kinda gay how they did it though making the UN and the US it's personal attack dogs and using the Holocaust as their excuse instead of fighting for it.

This is actually true. He negotiated with them and allowed them to take all the wealth they accumulated in Germany out of the country. He just wanted them to go away.

Another thing a lot of people don’t know is that organized jewry declared war on Germany and started using their positions of influence within the country to hurt the host country.

Liberal democracy, eh? Whose votes count there?

There is nothing logical about support for Israel whatsoever. If it were logical, something positive would actually flow in our direction after we've spent endless blood and treasure on them.

The alternative is to support none of them. To withdraw all troops from the middle east (and "defund" all of them) forever and use those troops to defend our borders and cities from our true enemy - the democratic party.

Anyway-no, I don't support the nation of Israel. I believe that it is responsible for a lot of issues in the Middle East today. Furthermore, I do not see the nation as an "organic" creation, or a biblically-supported nation. I see it as the artificial creation of the Rothschild and Rockefeller families.

A country half the size of New Jersey & people still hurt over it, amazing. Of course it is their land. Palestinians do not exsist. There is no Palestine. Herod named that land Palestine after Israel's perpetual enemy the Philistines. Palestinians were a sea fairing people from Crete. Arafat stole the name & identity.

Palestinians (who are a fake people) wanted nothing to do with that land, it was a desolate waste land, until the Jews irrigated it & made it flourish. Unbelievable, a made up people trying to take what is not there's.
