Amending the constitution isn't just a bill passed in the house or senate, it requires passaged by 2/3rd of the states. Thats not happening, thats why democrats have to try to do anti gun chit in courts because they know they can't do legally.

Nope. most people think that if that day ever comes it will be some sort of law enforcement going door to door to collect.

Instead it will more likely be that you're placed on a no-fly list or you may not qualify to have your drivers license renewed or you may have increased insurance premiums for failing to turn your registered weapons to the state. Theyll just cripple you indirectly and it will be under the guise of:"well, if you have a gun, you can potentially be a danger to those around you so you're not allowed to fly or drive, and guns are a potential health hazard, as you may accidentally shoot yourself, so your insurance premiums will be hiked too."

And all it would take is another mass shooting where a bunch of kids or perhaps even a politician is killed and everyone will rally behind it....the people that will resist will be seen as the "crazed radicals."

And that's just gun control. Let's not get started on NE's for climate change or healthcare.

They can try that but it'll be in court the next day and they'll get their asses kicked over it. Federal Govt protecting its boarders from foreign invaders is a National Emergency and will easily be upheld in the end. Pissing all over an amendment to the constitution will easily be overturned.

The only way they could ever try to pull it off is an ammunition ban but I don't know how they could even do that. People can make their own ammunition. You could just buy it in pieces and reload it would just be sold for other purposes. That primer cap thats a gag gift to scare your friends, those brass casings are for making art projects. It would work just like the shops that sold bongs as flower vases.

It would still be illegal to own a gun. So that means no more gun ranges or hell even if a random gunshot is heard on your own property the cops have the right to investigate. They wouldn't engage you theyll just put you back on the list of gun owners with societal disadvantages like the inability to fly.

I'm not saying this as if I want it to happen I'm just stating it as a very real possibility. Hell california is half way there, lol.

Purely political reasons? We have a political party letting people in illegally to seize political power. The Supreme Court is getting ready to hear the case for allowing the question of whether someone is in the country legally on the 2020 census. There are a number of reasons to believe if we don’t get this issue under control soon the country will be changed forever...without the permission of the American people.
