My guess, his acting career is over. The only option for him now is politics. I'm thinking he'll skip the state stuff entirely and run for Congress. Too soon for Senator Smollett, but in 10 years? After the better part of a decade of making headlines, media pandering and embracing every far-left position imaginable? Maybe then.

Court sealed key documents to the case. What likely happened, is the Trump exoneration in the Mueller probe triggered the SA to drop all charges. Hopefully there are federal charges launched against Smollet that will supersede the state dropping charges.
