I’m really not sure what you’re getting at. Trump talked about coal and nuclear, which don’t power cars, saying Germany had got rid of them which is false. He talked about natural gas from Russia being 60%+ of Germany’s energy source when it is in fact less than 15%. He was wrong on all 3 counts. His statements had nothing to do with oil and his errors cannot be mitigated by bringing oil into the argument.

In other words, you're using feelings over facts and reasoning. We didn't vote for Trump so he could win some kind of popularity contest. Screaming about Russia for years, but we will wilfully ignore this massive energy alliance that Germany (our ally) is forming with them, further increasing their dependence on Russian gas.
