in one case there is much more clear evidence and the only reason why there isnt a court date is due to misconduct. in the other it is decades old hearsay with multiple alleged witness denying any knowledge.

but what matters is the both didnt go to court so it is basically the same thing

He essentially used his bond to pay off the expenses of the police searches and took the standard 1st offence deal. Really, the prosecutors went full potato charging him with 16 counts.

That and Kim Foxx who recused herself....seemed to help set this deal in motion.

So my understanding is that even thou he is obviously guilty and there is video and paper proof, the fact that police held that video press conference before allowing him a chance to defend himself in court prosecution had no chance. Since now his due process was violated.

The city of Chicago is extremely in debt...google.

As it stands, the city owes some $28 billion to the systems that pay retirement benefits to school teachers, police officers, firefighters, and other city workers — and its required contributions to those systems are scheduled to increase by over a billion dollars over the next four years,


Basically, they can't afford to sue him as it would take up to many resources. It would just be PR without the payoff. I wondered this actually when I heard they were going to sue in the first place. Only person worth suing is Bezos.

And it's all been sealed. There is ZERO reason to seal anything on this. Why would an innocent man have it sealed?
