You are right in that letting Iran control the Strait is giving too much power to Iran. The Strait had free travel for 50 years, but only until a month ago, when we bombed them. We forced Irans hand, and now Iran realizes the absolute power of the Strait that they control... For the future, this is not good, and now Trump needs to find a solution. Because you obviously cannot end this war and let the IRGC have full control of the Strait from now on. But how Trump will solve this will be interesting, it needs to be solved, kinda got no choice now.

And this is why I think this war was such a mistake, because of the Strait (and some other reasons ofc). People are not realizing how difficult a task this will be to free up the Strait... If it were easy, you wouldn't see Trump constantly begging NATO countries to help. EU and the other Arab countries obviously realize the cost of freeing and securing the Strait will be high, something their voters/society probably aren't ready to accept... I dont think the U.S. population is ready for that either.

This was Israels war to begin with, the U.S. should've sat this one out.


BTW, I personally don't believe in the 30k number... Its convient that our government and MSM continued on and on about how 30k were murdered... but tell me, a country like Iran, which is closed off to the West... How are Western agencies able to accurately verify this number? It's a number that was specifically created for propaganda purposes to help justify this war... And I believe that propaganda worked, because everyone who is pro-Iran war has consistently brought it up to me. A reminder that the Iraq War was started on a lie, too. Hence, my reluctance to blindly believe 30k.
I agree with you for the most part. I do believe the world needs to step up and make sure no country think it can do this. No doubt, bombing them did trigger them, so they have an excuse, which is the logic of a lot of criminal types where ", if someone was mean to me, I can be mean to everyone.I was wronged so the law doesn't apply to me" type thing. I guess the world is going to accept that. There is an aspect to this that Iran has been working on this for probably 40+ years, so it might take some time and real work to destroy it, and is anyone really going to want to put in that effort, and pay the cost. There are some hard options.

The big mess up from DJT was that he predicted it was going to be a few weeks, maybe a month or a little after, and that tells them that they have to just survive. Lots of propaganda and a lot of it is just anti-Trump, and I think Iran is banking on the political pressure and timeline to be on their side. Knowing after 90 days Congress has to approve. If congress approves, which it might, the whole atmosphere might change.

At this point I am wondering about Trump and his repeated 'dead lines' that never take place or get fulfilled. I am actually getting somewhat concerned that he is in the early stages of dementia. He seems to be more emotional than ever...which is saying a lot....and I am concerned about his social media posts that no POTUS should be making.

Either put up or shut up.

I say this as a far right wing and conservative American as possible.

What he needs to do is to drop a few bombs on Kargh Island and their oil facilities. And their electrical plants. Not enough to wipe out Iran. But enough of a dent into their infrastructure that they get scared..

Haha. I'm an escaped midwesterner too. Chex Mix is the worst party snack I could think of.

I'm good with Ruffles and a tub of sour cream and onion dip though.
