I find it funny as in very odd that when anyone suggests that Iran did plant the mines on the tankers that those people me included are called Zionists.

That is as ignorant as calling someone racist for supporting conservative policy.

I don't hate Israel, I dislike our relationship with them. I find it very disadvantageous for our country. It doesn't make any sense for Iran to have done this, as people pointed out earlier. They have a decent relationship with Japan, why would they want to ruin it? And of course it happens while they are meeting with Japan. Not to mention the ship's captain telling a story counter to the US.
