See? I told you all - Trump needed to do actual WORK. The Presidency has the power of veto and I kept saying that and kept saying that.

It may be hard because Flake and Murkowski may flake, so this should've been done a year+ ago but better late than never.

THIS is the guy we voted for. Fight Trump, fight.

Yeah, the Senate's not gonna go along with that.

We pay for Mexico's welfare queens so by kicking them out we save money.

Like the other poster just said, this will likely have a rough time in the Senate though.

It could have been avoided though, we could have gained house seats and made even more gains in the Senate for the next session considering that the Democratic party is an easily beatable hot mess, unfortunately all Trump wanted to do was fire people up to vote against him and his party.

Insanely frustrating that now of all times is when they decide to try to push this through

Yes, but Trump is the master of self-sabotage and said on TV that he'll own the shutdown so they'll just say that it's on him and will play that clip of him saying it.

But no one on the right cares about that. They are with him shutting it down over border security. Now that this has happened, the ball is in the Democrats court. If they don’t pass it, the blame ultimately falls on them. 4d chess.

Yeah but I want more voters on our side. We need them to win. This will just make Trump look stupid if/when it doesn't pass the Senate

I trust Trump will keep the government shut down for as long as it takes to get this passed through the Senate. If it takes years then so be it.

Big political win for the Donald! Queue the Pelosi/Shumerman sound bites that it would never pass in the house.

No it won’t. I think most voters are aware that the whole shutdown thing is just a big show ultimately. They will, however, see Schumer overplay his hand on this.

I know it's realistically on the Democrats but not everyone will know it since Trump decided to self sabotage yet again by saying that he will completely own the shutdown if it happens. Then if he tries to rightfully blame Democrats, he'll be a hypocrite and everyone will know it.

Can't you see why this guy and his big mouth is so frustrating? He just makes things a million times harder for conservatives and chit like what he said about owning the shutdown will just make more voters move further from him instead of closer.

Actually Mexico and Canada are paying for the wall through the USMCA trade deal. Unless someone actually had such a low IQ they thought mexico would just write out a check that read border wall. Obviously they were gonna be paying it indirectly. Anybody with a brain knew this already.
