I think he is that way to an extent, but he certainely doubled down on it, when he found out how well it works for him during the 2016 election.

Trump has been critical of china's handling of the virus the entire time. Most politically correct coward politicians would see an asian reporter and talk around it, Trump knows that is stupid and in reality talked to her the same as anyone else regardless of her race. Her screeching is irrelevant and Trump knows this.


Here is the thing with Trump: the media has been at a 10/10, 100% alarmist level on him for 4 years straight now. Any other politician is constantly worried about bad press, Trump knows he can say and do whatever the fuk he wants because theyve been calling him hitler since before he even won the election, when they are already at 10/10 and the news cycle is over saturated with Trump hate, why even bother to soften and be politically correct when they criticize him just the same? He now has freedom to say whatever he wants which no politician in history has enjoyed.
