[Discussion Thread] UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. dos Santos (ESPN+)

This one is flying way under the radar for a number of reasons, but for an under-the-radar Fight Night, the main card is interesting enough.

If Junior beats Derrick, that's three in a row and that actually puts him in the title picture probably.

The return of Ben Rothwell will be interesting to see. For a while, he looked like a guy on a title run until Junior beat the hell out of him a couple of years ago.

Beneil Dariush vs. Drew Dober and Tim Means vs. Niko Price are early FOTN candidates.

I get a sense that because of his gym responsibilities it kept him motivated to survive.... a STRONG self harm vibe here. Wish him the best but damn.

This event started pretty early. They're already four fights into the prelims.

Akhmedov keeps trying to wrestle but Boestch has good defensive wrestling. Barring any theatrics in the 3rd, Akhmedov is cruising to a decision based on his success on the feet.

Of course Dariush is well rounded and will be looking for the submission, but it's hard to tell who could better replicate Hernandez's flash KO than Dober. He can crack.

I think Dariush by RNC.

He looks like Dariush multiplied by two in thickness. Dariush is a good technician but again he's matched against someone much more powerful and athletic.

Did Anik just completely mix up announcing the winner?

Then their respective reactions didn't help either

It's funny because i'm betting this card and I might be opposed to every pick you have. I think every fight remaining is a tough call.

I expect Rothwell to return to form but he could come back looking like sh*t so I think Ivanov is not a bad call.

Price capable of wild finishes but Means has steady striking and wrestling.

Millender the rightful favorite but Zaleski is surging and dangerous. We will see what Millender is made of tonight. Might go with Millender though.

When Lewis strikes I don't think JDS will be there to receive. I don't think Lewis has the wrestling to get the fight to the ground. This is the fight i'm most sure about.

I did have Omari, Dariush, and Martin though, doing pretty good RN. I think parlaying the remaining 4 at once is a bad call, lots of toss-up fights.
