It's too far away to get hyped. A lot can happen in 4 months. It will be a huge event if everything goes to plan though.

Exactly my thought. the novelty of these fake fights wore off a long time ago. It was slightly interesting when Logan started it as an innovative expansion from youtube content even paying Floyd a hefty hourly rate to provide the full service "boxer experience", but never pretended what he was doing had any relation to real boxing.

Then like everything else Logan has done, his insecure, leech of a brother comes along and hijacks the concept twisting it into this embarrassing, unbelievable joke to satisfy his full on delusions that he is actually a real professional boxer.

The vast majority of people watch sports to be entertained. How is this any different?

Jake has separated himself from the YouTube boxing world which is a circus. He has trained like a pro fighter for 5 years now. Yea, it's pretty off-brand for Nate but everyone knows he's just securing his future. And he deserves it.

I don't see why people have such an issue with it. Jake vs Tommy was pure entertainment and this will be as well. It's low level professional boxing with big event promotion and hype.

Basically, it's less about "caring" and more about switching off and being entertained.

I also don't get the dislike for Jake Paul. He even admits that he used to be an annoying kunt. He found boxing late and has dedicated his life to it. Being such a massive name before allowed him to create an entirely new category of boxing. As I said, it's low level, but he is still fighting real fighters. Does he think he's better than he is? Yes? Does every single fighter in the world think they're better than they are?Yes.

The same way I do not find WWE entertaining. It is not even a dislike for Jake Paul, but how do I take him seriously at this point when the guy is still putting on this stupid act too fake to even present himself seriously or act like a serious athlete. That character is fine in promos for an event but if you maintain that same fakeness afterwards and never drop the clown show then I have no reason to believe anything he is doing is real or worth watching.

On the other side, Nate constantly talked about not needing to fight in UFC, because he made so much money already from fighting (which is highly likely considering he had 2 Conor fights) and sources outside the cage so unless he is happy to expose himself as a complete liar and a fake, taking a fall against Jake Paul isn't going to do anything to secure his future or even make him more money than he was getting in UFC, it just marks him as a desperate washed up UFC fighter.

These two things together is what doesn't make sense to me. I don't hate Jake Paul at all I just literally don't get the hype in interest.

It's Nate Diaz fighting Jake Paul. How is that not interesting, lol? There are many reasons why people will tune in.

I guarantee that Nate believes he will win easily. He's not just there for the money (although it helps). He will be viewing it as an opportunity that he can't turn down. He is going to make 3x what he made for the Conor fights or more. His company is co-promoting the event so the number could end up being crazy with PPVs, gate, sponsors, TV deals, merch, etc. I also read that he's getting a lot of his brahs on the card to get them paid as well. Definitely not fair to call him a sell out.

When it comes to the stakes or whatever, if Jake loses, his career in boxing is over. If Nate loses, his reputation will be damaged badly, especially if he gets KO'd. He said that he wants to go back to the UFC after this, so that is also on the line.

I find it hard to believe that there is absolutely no interest at all and you won't watch a single pre fight interview or presser or the fight. But of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
