What a banger of a card starting from Mana Martinez & Saaiman all the way to the top. I'm going with

Saaiman
Garry
Blonde Brunson
Trevin Jones
Bo Nickal
Gamrot
Shavkat
Bullet
Bones

People seem to be forgetting who Jon Jones is. Gane almost got finished by Tai Tuivasa.

Thanks bro, you just made me homo for clicking on the link to look. Gane looks way too happy to be that close to the GOAT, makes me rethink how easy it was for Ngannou to take him down and lay on him.

I rewatched some fights and I have a different view now, people are saying Jones wrestling is the biggest factor in this fight but I actually think it's his leg kicks. IF Jones can do work with leg kicks from both stances I can actually see him getting Gane to hesitate. If he can't Ganes will light him up on the feet.

Also cheeky sub bet because if Jones is losing I can see him going for a desperate takedown that could lead to it

So many doubters. The Champ is Here!

I just reached out to Jon's biggest fan and he too is overwhelmed with emotion that the day is finally here.

Feels bad for Gane since he won't get to prove himself against Ngannou after he beats Jones. Honestly fk the people around Ngannou that got in his head. Ngannou gets demolished by any good boxer and then he gets no more draws it's over...

I still think Gane edged that fight against Ngannou. People just remember the takedowns and control in rounds 3 and 4. Gane outclassed him in the first two and then won the 5th imo, after after going for the retarded heel hook.

Jones seems focused and no late distractions entering the fight. but maybe this isn't a good thing that he isn't getting into fights and altercations with the cops before a fight.

the thing that kinda worried me about Cyril was that apparently he didn't really train in the offseason. i'm sure he worked hard for this fight but still. I think Jon Jones had a good point in one of his pressers where he could definitely outwork Cyril and frustrate him esp if it goes to the ground.

Def could have gone either way. I'm glad it didn't because I bet money lmao but yeah i agree

The thing is apparently Gane thought he was down because of his corner, if that's the case it wasn't even his fault for attempting the submission. He wasn't going to finish Ngannou with strikes on top

When Ciryl Gane isn't training for a fight he's playing other sports keeping his fitness. When Jones isn't training he's doing coke and getting liver damage, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in this case because he knows the stakes.

Ciryl probably puts in tons of effort during a camp and then chills after. That's better than training every day but doing it half assed. The guys the next generation and IMO the best athlete this sport has ever had. He's fine. If he loses it won't be from not working hard

I'd put guys like Cain and JDS ahead of him and probably some others as well. I don't think Gane has the complete package athleticism wise. His footwork and technique are up there for sure, but does he have the kind of cardio to grind out a 5 rounder involving heavy grappling?

I'm not doubting his talent, I just think calling him the best athlete is quite an overstatement. Athleticism is more than technique and footwork. Why would he be a better athlete than Ngannou for example? He's weaker and their cardio are similar.

Those guys you mentioned would gas out in a matter of minutes doing what Gane does, and they wouldn't even be able to do it in the first place because they aren't agile enough despite being physically smaller than Gane. That's why Gane is the best athlete lol

Gane is weaker but more well rounded than Ngannou. Ngannou looked more gassed than Gane at the end of their fight despite Gane bouncing around the entire time and carrying him on his back

I just saw that clip of Jones play wrestling with Bo and he is legit breathing heavy lol.

History is filled with fighters saying that this was the best camp of their life, they've never been stronger, best shape of their life, expecting to dominate, only to look like complete chit on fight night. Being totally delusional is part of being a fighter. I know this is the extreme but I guarantee that Diego Sanchez still thinks he could be a champion if given the chance. I learned to stop listening to what fighters say a long time ago but it's hard when it's coming from Jon Jones. Objectively though, all that extra weight + he's way past his athletic prime now + possible ring rust + the opponent in front of him. I think he's going to struggle tonight.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Of course fighters are never going to admit that they're hurt or they had a bad camp.

I remember TJ Dillashaw going into his last fight how he was saying he's here to win the belt tonight, while he knew his shoulders were compromised. I am rooting for Jon, but Gane is just too much of a fearless beast.
