IMO also alex chin is worse at this point in his career. I can see Jiri taking his best punch and not getting koed, i can't see Jiri getting kod by israel
thing is Pavlovich doesn't have 1 punch ko power, at least not that i've seen. He's kod fat guys that have no way of dealing with his offense. If Tom shoots a takedown and gets clipped he'll probably still be fine.
Tom will play outside a bit with leg kicks, pop in with a 1 2 after a feint and then after another feint hit the tdd and sub him. It's HW so anything can happen ofc

Good stoppage. Jiri went out, was in a bad position and was just going to take more damage. The kind of damage that will ruin your life in 20 years time.
There is but one path....we kill them all.

I think a lot of people's comments are based on the absolutely horrendous commentary. Jiri did not just bounce back up quickly. He had no immediate or even delayed reaction because he was clearly not present or aware for a long time. We didn't hear this early stoppage crap in the first Izzy fight even though Izzy was still on his feet and immediately reacted with protest, obviously much more conscious than Jiri was. DC actually said that one could have been stopped earlier. They were both good stops, but the comparison shows just how stupid people claiming the Jiri fight was stopped early actually is.

Checked out fighter purses.
Steve Erceg made $12k. Imagine flying from Australia to NY, fighting on the biggest stage in the world and the salary not covering your flights ayy
Diego Lopes - people calling him a "problem" in LW and a once in a generation talent. $12k for being on the main event of UFC 295
Saint-Denis $34500
Aspinall + Pavlovich both $250k. Who knows if Hunter gave them PPV points, hopefully he did.

you gotta let the ground and pound play out especially since it's a title fight. jiri's been wobbled tons of times and reversed texeiea's mount like 3 times in their last fight
chance of him coming back was very small but you still gotta give it to him

it's unlikely jiri would have recovered but so what? it's unlikely a tincan is beating ngannou yet they still let them knowing he's getting knocked into the shadow realm. a couple more seconds would have sufficed

when he fell down alex had his hands on the ground... there could be a solid few seconds between gnp, in which anything could have happened like jiri wiggling out or blocking/mitigating while he comes back to senses
it was a shiet stoppage, jiri is just humble.

If Lopes for example has a 6 fight contract and got paid 12000 on his first 3 while 295 being the 4th, it's going to be the same number.
