It’s crazy statistically the prime is like 32-34 but once you hit 35 it’s just downhill

Volk fukked up by taking the Islam fight on short notice. Getting KOed by Islam....and then coming back FAST to fight Topuria.... his brain hasn't recovered... his chin hasnt recovered... and now his career may never revover.

Fukkn sad. I love volk. Wish things went differently.

Wow, I'm so sad.He's old, it was just too soon. Volk needs to take a long break. Let Illia defend the title once before he rematches him. Still don't think he'll win but he has a lot of mileage in a short period of time and a long break would be good for him. That being said, Illia vs Max looks like a crazy fking fight imo.

Volk is 35, he could take a year+ break and still come back at 36. Barboza is 38 and is 2-0 in his last 2 so I wouldn't count out Volk completely.

Having said that, who does Ilia fight next? There's not many who I think can do it. I'd like to see Evloev get an opportunity, Emmett is he gets another 1-2 wins maybe but not many others. Too early for Diego Lopes, I think he needs a top 15 next and then top 10, top 5, champ.
