You don't rush in against a counter-puncher of that calibre when he's still 100%, you're asking to get caught, which is what happened.Still shaking my head.
You are out leg kicking the guy who's bread and butter is leg kicks, your jab is snapping his head back, yet you run in and exchange with the guy who has quicker hands.
It was only round 2 ffs Alex.

There is but one path....we kill them all.

Izzy gameplanned that fight perfectly knowing he needed to be aggressive and fight to finish this guy early rather than trying to survive 25 minutes for a decision. That sense of urgency became extremely evident when he was again getting eaten up with calf kicks making Izzy realize he would be crippled if the fight lasted much longer.
Izzy did say his leg being hurt led to him playing that strategy of imitating the same situation as the end of the last fight expecting Alex react the same way, dropping his hands and going for the kill against a wounded opponent not realizing Izzy wasn't hurt this time. Izzy watched the ending of that fight thousands of time and trained to bait and counter it with that overhand right that he has rocked Alex with multiple times before and the ref wasn't in the way this time blocking him from landing it the second time and leaving him frozen like Elsa.

He's a great fighter, yes, but as a human being he's trash.
It is what it is.

Missed the part where he shat on Pereira's kid but not surprised considering that he was behaving like a wild ape after that knockout.

Alex didn't respect the power of Izzy
Way too confident
After round 1 when he was talking more than glover and his coaches......
Where does the division go now.
Rematch won't happen till Dec or Jan considering that was bad knockout, that chin/brain gonna need time to heal.
Whittaker vs Khamzat and winner will get number 1 contender shot against Izzy vs Alex 3?
that press conference Izzy sounded like he won't give rematch to Alex which makes no sense. There is nobody in division left to fight.

I'm like a broken record but if I'm Alex, I'm accepting the 3-1 overall and 1-1 in MMA and moving up. Cutting that much weight and taking shots to the head can't be good. He needs to take some time off, let his brain recover, focus on grappling, and come back at 205 near the end of the year.
Even tho Izzy acted like a complete classless freak in the cage, it looks like they buried the hatchet backstage.

Also, he was acting like a ****git with no respect in the cage, then he was kissing Alex's ass backstage, then he continued acting like a ****git with no respect on twitter today. That's beta behavior.

Izzy demanded the immediate rematch.
You're just a low IQ fight fan, go watch Anderson Silva for his flashy KO's lol - but remember to also watch his 6 fight skid where his hands down chin out bait the opponent started to back fire.
of course you can't appreciate how Izzy barely gets hit and can reduce guys like Jared Cannonnier into a 5 round defensive shell too scared to come forward.

Izzy was always better. Always the betting favourite. When moneys involved - people look beyond the "0-3" headline into the detail. Maybe you should too.

Dana also made it very clear Alex's only option going forward is at LHW. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the last we see of Pereira in the cage. He just took a very bad KO in front of his family, has made a lot of money, has had a long highly decorated fighting career with nothing left to prove, very little chance of becoming LHW champion, and a family that wants him around for a long time to come without losing him to severe brain damage. I'm sure he also has many opportunities to continue earning a great living coaching kickboxing and MMA in Brazil with Izzy being his first customer willing to pay big money to learn how the hell he throws his calf kicks so well.

Izzy reps Nigeria btw and and never pays homage to your ****gy country, even tho it gave him the opportunity to succeed in life. He got bullied badly as a kid so probably holds a lot of resentment towards kiwis.
So you can stop deepthroating him and ignoring his ridiculous behaviour just because he lives in the same country as you.. kid.

You probably stuck on just that right? "0-3", if you'd watch the fights and how they went, it was painfully obvious its pretty close between them, painfully obvious no hometown ref or 10 more seconds who would win
Hard to call them evenly matched when Izzy has done the same thing 3x in a row - lit Alex up first, and the one time he doesn't have the hometown ref saving him with a 8 count, or the luck of the bell - he gets KO'd stiff.

DC, GSP, Weidman, Gilbert Burns even all alluding to the fact Izzy has always been ahead but somehow Alex has won... All of them picked Izzy to win. Even weidman who's arguably never liked the guy.
