Ngannou has improved dramatically
I've seen a few people on the misc that think Ngannou is still just a dumb brawler, but a huge amount actually think this in general. I completely disagree with that
His last fight with Stipe showed that he's heavily improved in some aspects and added new stuff to his arsenal
- Patience
- Timing
- Cardio control
- Setups for right power punch
- Powerful and well timed kicks, whenever stipe would circle away to avoid his punch he would throw a leg kick that caught him every time.
- TDD skills, instantly sprawled AND took Stipes back, it's crazy that this isn't talked about.
If you thought he beat Stipe because he was x amount heavier than last time you're a casual. Actually saw so many people saying this on the original thread lmao

Yeah he's improved but he will still lose to Gane.
Gane is more technical, faster, accurate and has better movement. Ngannou has terrible cardio and has a reputation made over his power because he used to just charge forward throwing haymakers at 100%. Unfortunately that's the only way he will be able to win against Gane.
Ngannou went slow against stipe 2 and did hardly anything and was still breathing out of his mouth 2 minutes in. And stipe absorbed a lot of his shots. Gane will be setting the pace and it'll end like all of Ganes matches. He check mates you, you have no where to go and he picks you apart and wins either by points or by wearing you down enough to tko you.

Gane is definitely the more well rounded fighter than Ngannou. But even in the Lewis fight Gane put himself in harms way a few times. Ngannou is faster, more athletic and more powerful than Derrick Lewis so you figure he has a better chance of connecting.
BUT, I think Ngannou will tire easy if it gets past the 2nd round. Even if he has to go a round and a half, it seems like he loses steam and cardio. If Gane can get it there I think Gane should be a heavy favourite to win. I think Ngannou will lose a lot of power once he gets tired.

Ngannou is basically a better version of Lewis, and Gane absolutely worked Lewis.
Gane's just a super tough matchup for stand-and-throw brawlers, and that's pretty much all HW offers right now. I'd put money on him to beat Ngannou, and if he does, he will be the HW champion for a while until a guy comes up through the ranks.
Gane needs to face a guy with the mobility to follow him and take him down. Curtis Blaydes is the only guy I can think of right now with the ability to do that. Jon Bones Jones has the athleticism, but old + never fought at HW + no skittles... I'm taking Gane in that contest.

Firstly **** this gay Indian forum, I typed a big reply and got an error smh.
Well as someone who said Gane would starch Lewis I disagree that he beats Ngannou. I think Ngannou will beat him, but I also think Gane will win the rematch. I have a feeling this will end up being a huge trilogy.
I can already see holes in his game, one being that through his in and out stance he leaves his lead leg susceptible to outside leg kicks. To minimise this he'll have his lead leg facing his opponents lead leg for most of the fight which works because he's great at using both stances, but his opponents have all fought in one stance and haven't had the ability to punish this. Ngannou has shown through his last fight he can fight in both stances and could really throw his rhythm off with powerful outside kicks. At that pointonepunch has to land and it's night night.

Gane is going to make it a war of attrition against Ngannou, same as he did with Volkov and same as he did with Lewis. Ngannou isn't a guy who's going to hang in there for 5 rounds and win on points vs anyone. It's a bad matchup for him, and Gane has already ran this gameplan perfectly twice.

Save this comment for after this fight happens so you can refer back to it. This is from someone who knew gane would decimate the entire division after the rozenstruick fight and predicted that he'd be fighting nagannou by the end of the year.
Naganous only chance at winning this is by reverting back to his old way of just rushing forward and throwing haymakers. That is literally the only way. If this fight doesn't end within 40 seconds then Gane wins.
Ngannou has never faced anyone with the footwork and striking calibre of Gane. Stipe doesn't even come close. Ngannois reputation for power only comes from his previous fights where he'd rush in throwing at 110%. His second fight with stipe proved that his power vastly dissolves when he fights calm and collected. He still hits hard obviously but it's nothing that Gane won't be able to work around.
Gane is gonna be throwing front kicks to the knee the stomach, stepping in for the fast as fck jabs and just literally pick.him.apart.
Ngannou has maybe 2 minutes of cardio of in him (again you can see this in the stipe 2 fight). He hardly did anything apart from a quick flurry, landing some ground and pound shots and immediately had to revert to breathing through his mouth. Now imagine how his cardio holds up with Gane setting the pace, moving in and out, constantly firing off. Calm ngannous striking Is LEVELS behind Gane's. I just put money on Gane at 1.95 odds.

Both are stand-up strikers who rely on their hands to knock people out. But Ngannou is more powerful, faster, athletic, technical. Only thing I would say is Lewis probably has a better gas tank and is still dangerous even when tired, but that's probably because he throws with less volume where Ngannou likes to pressure and is less gun shy.

Even though Stipe didn't get knocked from that damage he seemed concussed from it. He literally walked into Ngannou at the end
The thing is I'm not denying any of those things you said, I actually think Gane is the better fighter and will get the best of him in the trilogy. But like I said I see a hole in his game and if his rhythm is thrown off against Francis like I think it will be that's bad news. BTW Francis is similar in that aspect, he's been training a bit longer but didn't start taking it seriously until recently because he was winning from his power alone. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see him wrestle.

People are ignoring the fact that Stipe is like 39. That is partly what made Ngannou look so "improved". He has made improvements, but nothing out of this world. And he's lightyears behind Gane in terms of skill.
Lold @ OP talking about Ngannou's leg kicks. He looked like he was trying to kick a ball. I'm sure they hurt because at that size, they're going to, but that technique lmao.
Betting against Ngannou is always going to be risky because of his power. I think Gane is more than capable of staying well away from it for the first 2 rounds though. He doesn't give a fuk about the crowd or brawling to make Dana happy. He is one of the most calculated fighters I have ever seen. I've bet him quite heavily the past 2 fights and am probably going to again.

Stipe literally convincingly beat DC just a year before that fight. He didn't take too much damage and clearly didn't lose his chin as he took serious blows from Ngnannou. If DC knocked him out and then he fought Ngannou you'd have a case even though it still wouldn't necessarily be true.Stipe won the first fight by avoiding blows with head movement against a guy with poor striking technique and then wrestlephucked him. He couldn't do any of those things because Francis would set up shots and leg kick him when he angled away, he also sprawled instantly on the takedown. You could literally see fear on his face after Francis stuffed the takedown, he wasn't expecting that at all. The fact is Stipe had the same gameplan as he did in the first fight and couldn't execute it because of Ngannou, not because of himself.

I never said he had great leg kick technique but had great timing of them in the fight. That's better than being a guy that drills them all day but can't execute them. He can always improve the technique and I'm sure it already has improved a ton, he never used to kick in fights. Now he's throwing head kicks from different stancesBetting against Ngannou is always going to be risky because of his power. I'd 100% go with Gane if I didn't see a weakness in his game, that's why I think he'll win the rematch. I also wouldn't be surprised seeing Francis wrestle because he's been drilling it frequently and I'm really interested to see how that'll play out in their fight.Anyway this is my last post since it's annoying to speculate this much when the fights so far away.
