usman vs edwards who u got

i think leon takes it again. I picked him the first time because of Usman knees and thinking he could exploit that, but now Usman is coming off a deadly knockout and must be even more damaged then before

also lower elevation + hometown advantage... I predict unanimous decis

Usman's style is so hard to bet against. I think he's gonna turn the ****git crotch sniffing up to 100 for this fight. Leon has good cardio but Usman can keep the same pace for 5 full rounds.

I won't be surprised if Leon wins as he has a lot of things in his favour, but I have to pick Usman.

I'm still going to go Usman. Leon had no answer until the boom headshot and Trevor Wittman will have a better game plan to nullify Ed.

Got Usman by holding Leon against the cage and did what he did to Woodley.
Same scenario

seems like people are overlooking Usman's physicality going into the fight... turning 36 shortly, known deterioration to the knees plus unknowns after the knockout. big thing for me is usman was winning because of outworking him. If his physicality is noticeably deteriorated than that's an extremely big blow to what makes him successful. Then there's the knockout which could make him mentally hesitant.

also he cheated multiple times, grabbed gloves to escape sub and interlocked the fence multiple times to stay on him. I see many things that make me favour leon

This is how I see it as well. Full on return of Snoozeman.

I also can’t get the scenes / images out of my head where Leon was fighting with zero heart and his corner is begging him to bring it. He ultimately threw that kick, but still got dominated thoroughly for 4+ rounds up til that point.

Honestly not excited for the fight at all, and don’t care for either fighter.

WW seems like it’s in a weird spot while it waits for Khamzat and Shavkat to take over. No idea why they are having Burns fight Masvidal, other than it being in Miami. Then the Colby situation is also super odd.

Age and physicality is the biggest factor for me too. Leon is 31. Usman had his prime. Plus no elevation advantage for him now

I've been thinking this for at least 2 years. Has Usman been playing us? It feels like we've been hearing about his knees and seeing pics of them strapped up for 5 years, yet he has zero issues in the cage. Rogan said that he has to walk down stairs backwards and that he can't walk on concrete lol. He might be 4D chessing the MMA world. He also just went 5 rounds at altitude 6 months ago and looked fine physically (until the KO lul).

It's another fight with a lot of questions. A bet on Leon isn't a bad or stupid one. But if Usman comes in healthy, in shape, with a game plan, it'll most likely be a tough night for Leon.

I want to see Usman win. I don't think Leon Edwards is as much of a fighter/dog as Usman is.. I think hes more of an athlete vs a pure fighter from the heart. Plus I can't really understand a word he says when he talks.

i've had thoughts that it's fake too but i don't think so anymore. I can kind of imagine what he means by knee pain, it's not like it stops him from being explosive his ligaments are just worn down from pushing himself past the limits and doesn't want to make it worse

guys a ped abuser and is now turning 36 with multiple surgeries... I'm not saying i'll be surprised if he wins but i don't see him getting any better where as Edwards is entering his prime

Leon looked great in the first round when they were both fresh tbh. The altitude definitely killed his cardio. It's hard to say what will happen. If Usman goes back to his roots and buries his face in Leon's crotch for 5 rounds, can Leon stop that? I don't think so. It's a way for Usman to avoid actually fighting but win rounds. Why wouldn't he do it?

adrenaline is a hell of a drug, i think he's probably fine when he gets into the cage bc he has no choice but to push himself to win, but i think just day to day life he probably walks around in pain from training, the surgeries, the degradation to his body. it's weird sometimes how a person can compete at the highest level but in day to day life the person is like a cripple.

maybe overexaggerated but I don't think he's lying when he's basically wrestled all his life, cut all that weight so many times, 22 pro fights, documented surgeries, etc. I can at least attest to running on concrete is now painful for my knees, but any other surface is fine.

I don't really know anything about knee injuries but if it's purely a pain issue then yea, he probably could just ignore it for the fight. The way his knees are talked about though it sounds like they are completely shredded.

I think Till has a similar issue because he needs surgery but can still train and fight without it. The difference is we have seen a massive decline in Till's ability to defend a takedown and movement in general. Usman has apparently had this issue for as long as I can remember yet his performances have never dropped whatsoever, in fact he got better and better. Just seems a little bit sus.
