the Nunes fight was incredible
By incredible I mean incredible that Dana made that the main event.
Jfl just end WMMA entirely. Who the fk cares? The only ones worth watching were Ronda when she got her ass beat, Valentina before she became a boring point fighter turned SORE LOSER and Rose before she had the most boring fight of all time (not an exaggeration, nothing happened for 25 fkin minutes).
No one cares about WMMA at all. If they insist on keeping it just have 1 heavyweight division where bloatlord women and massive roided up trannies can battle it out at 205+, now that would be entertaining.
Like if you agree

I don't think any womens fighter will ever match the numbers and popularity of Ronda Rousey.
Nunes was maybe slightly popular (being optimistic here) but with her gone nobody will care anymore. Flyweight nobody cares for.
I will concede that Weili is a good fighter and not a boring point fighter and with the right PR she could be marketed (obviously talking in relative WMMA terms here).

Thank God shes retiring, maybe half the UFC womens roster will be cut and we wont have watered down events anymore.
Id love to see an experiment like the WNBA done with womens MMA- let them be their own league subsidized by the men and see how many people watch or how long it lasts... it would be the same exact thing- a bunch of subsidized payroll for a product no one supports. WNBA has been leeching for 20+ years and is still not self sufficient or watchable.
Womens sport is an exhibition at best, noone pays their hard earned money or prefers to spend their valuable time on watching it, I use the time for bathroom breaks and cooking food when I watch events with women sprinkled into the card, and I have never watched a card with women headlining, theres been like 3 decent womens fights in the history of MMA. Stop wasting our time.

With Nunes gone, its not going to be easy moving forward with WMMA in the UFC, nor do I think Dana / Endeavor really care. Dana has already said how Featherweight division is gone. Could see Dana doing a Pena vs. Holm for vacant Bantamweight, and then dropping that division too.
Especially in WMMA you first and foremost need to have high level fighting skills to have any sort of credibility, and then you need marketability to be a star. No one in WMMA has both.
Even Nunes, who had the most skill and exciting style ever, was never a star when it came to marketability and PPV numbers.
Pena is mediocre and can't carry a division, Kayla Harrison just got beat, Cyborg is old / got destroyed by Nunes, same story for Miesha / Holly, Valentina lost and isn't that exciting anymore, Johanna is gone, and Weili is as marketable as a rock.
That basically leaves what? Grasso (nice / cute kid, but she is boring and the UFC is doing nothing with her), and Mackenzie Dern (looked great in last fight, but is much more known for her looks than MMA skill)?
