How do you all handle lifting if you do MMA?

Do you just have a day where one day you will do MMA/train and then the next day you will lift?

Does your body recover easily?

I often hear of fitness trainers not letting their clients do MMA.

Depends on your goals. As a fighter I lift about twice a week.

If you are just starting out and only have time to train once a day. I suggest doing your skills class first, and then doing some lifting after. It’s obviously not gonna be a full session if you are training hard and tired from the class, but you just do what you can.

That is if you are prioritizing martial arts or getting good at fighting. If not just do whatever you want

Balancing MMA and weightlifting can be effective. Adequate recovery is essential. Fitness trainers vary; some caution against intense combinations, while others tailor programs to individual abilities and goals. Consult a professional for personalized advice.
