Dude was out and ref made right call. Called it so fast dude was back right away to cry but it was a fine call. And if a guy intentionally instantly drops his arm limp like that during a choke (even an arm in guillotine) then he should lose.

Judge dun goofd with the 10-8 fifth round for Grasso. No way. Valentina was winning that round until the final 2 minutes, which wasn't even that bad. 10-8 is for a clean full round domination, not that.

I guess there was a bias after all.

Worse, yes. 10-8 is generally (by sober judges) given for a total domination. You'd need to do something like 4.5 minutes ground control time with more than half of that being GNP/sub attempts or a stand-up fight where you outstrike your opponent 10 to 1 and bloody them up.

Val pieced Grasso up for the first 70% of the round with her jab, only then did she make a mistake and end up in a backpack where Grasso did pretty much nothing. 10-8 for that should cost you your job as the credibility of fair UFC fights is already in shambles.

Just saying, she won the round (and I agree it's not 10-8) but flipping 10-9 one way or the other is actually a 2 point decision and it equally swayed the fight but nobody cares about that.

Also, irrelevant to the current conversation, I've always said they need more 10-8 rounds in mma. The 10 point scoring system doesn't work for 3 or even 5 round fights.

It was a close fight

Not that I care about WMMA, but the crap judging. In what world was that last round a 10-8? If we are gonna call that a 10-8 then one of the previous rounds would have to be called a 10-8. Just lol. Valentina got robbed but she messed up in the last round with some unadvised moves that got her back taken. She would have easily won that round instead the judge gave it a 10-8 the other way. lmao.

The 10-8 score was ludicrous even though the end result was okay.

If anything I've always thought a few more 10-10 rounds should be given out but I understand why they'd rather not get into that habit.
