Where do get your gaming news?

I used to have gaming sites I would regularly go to but I lost interest in them over the years. For news and reviews it's been Youtube and Steam for me for the most part.

Generally Twitter or YouTube. A lot of gaming personalities moved to BlueSky too so there's a decent amount of information there.

Yeah it seems like social media and youtube really took over gaming news. Nobody seems to go to gaming sites anymore. I mean it sort of makes sense, considering the nature of video games it's a lot better to watch them in action as opposed to reading what someone has to say about them, and the social media sort of eliminates the middle man.

Here are sites I had favorited. A lot of my gaming news comes from word of mouth, Twitter, or maybe I've got a streamer in the background on like Lirik who usually checks out new and upcoming releases at the start of his stream. Sometimes I'll check the top games for the week, month, etc. I don't use all these links every day, but consistency I guess "in the space" keeps me up to date. There are times where I deep dive into daily and obscure releases and whatnot, but I figure if it's out of scope, then I'm prob better off not knowing.

I don't. Gaming media is dead to me. If something is stand out good I'll see it through one of the YouTube channels I follow, like jackfrags for fps games or asmongold ranting about whatever new game is actually decent

I only follow certain game franchises (Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Metal Gear, Doom). So I just check up on them periodically and see what's out.

Yeah this has been me for a while now. I just check out upcoming games and new releases every so often and take note of anything that grabs my interest, then I go off word of mouth and youtube videos to determine if it's something I would want or not. Usually a simple no commentary walkthrough video is all I need.
