What is the most amount of weight you’ve ever seen benched in person?

Saw a couple guys doing in the mid 500s years ago. Once in a military gym and the other a hole in the wall gym for cops and firefighters.

Bar was bending like crazy

I used to train in a powerlifting gym and compete in powerlifting meets, so I’ve seen some pretty big benches, both raw and shirted. I don’t remember benches as much as I do squats. But I’ve seen raw benches in the 500s before for sure.

In fact, my workout partner benched 500 raw 10 years ago.

Saw a dude bench 4 plates once (close to 400lbs)

He was on ALL the gear
