Ever notice how women never hold the door open for men?
just saw this lady walk out of the building and there was this guy not 3 feet away from the door walking towards it
instead of doing the polite thing, lady just breezes through the door without even holding it so the guy can get a hand on it
just blew right by him, without even a second thought
can pretty guarantee she wouldve been pissed if the roles were reversed
discuss

I don't hold doors open much anymore. People seem to have this odd expectation that they are entitled to it. Or they are just in their own world.
Said it before...many people don't appreciate niceness anymore. That is a bad mentality. Niceness is a choice.
Pretty much this...

I see women holding doors constantly. If they don't, it's because of years of social conditioning. I always hold doors; today a woman held a door open for me an embarrassingly long time while I walked down some stairs.
Sometimes we don't do things like that for men when we worry they'll think we're hitting on them. That might be it. Perhaps OP gives off creeper vibe.

I HATE people that don't hold the door. I also HATE people that don't grab the door when I hold it for them, you know -- they just breeze though like you're their slave or something. I slam it on them. A woman actually did it to me at Starbucks this morning. I had my coffee and my dog and she just stood outside waiting for me to open the door so she could go in. And when I was walking out, she just walked in without grabbing the door (even though I had a dog and a hot cup of coffee) --- so I shut it on her, it hit her right in the ass, she looked back at me like wtf and i was just like
)))))))))))))))
I hold the door for everyone, male or female. It's just the polite thing to do.

I've had women do it for me before. Ever open the door and the chick just walks in without saying anything like an entitled **** and you were suppose to do it for her. They get a nice " You're welcome bitch" as the door shuts.
Always 4.

And they're probably just not holding them for you.

Yes we do.
But if someone without a disability is purposely taking their time getting to the door, I'll leave.
Believe it or not, some people will slow down on purpose to see what you'll do when holding open the door.

I've had both men and women keep the door open for me and I do the same half the time. Don't expect to have them do it for you, but don't go out of your way all the time to do it (you aren't their concierge or greeter lol).

On the flip side I was walking out of my office main doors once and noticed a woman around mid 50's walking out behind me so I held the door. She was almost stunned and shocked and said no one ever did that before. I was like, what??
