What starter Pokemon did you pick in Red/Blue?

I usually went with Squirtle. Squirtle was great up until the electric gym (3rd gym I think?), and by that point, you could have leveled up enough other Pokemon to wreck that gym anyway. Plus you could teach it "blizzard" and "ice beam" as a Blastoise down the road and wreck both fire and flying opponents with great moves.

If you have red, you get Charmander. If you have blue, you get Squirtle.

bulbasaur was the smartest pick tho bc you can replace charizard with moltres later and squirtle with articuno but venusaur is the best grass pokemon. legendary birds + venusaur + mewtwo + dragonite = game over man game over

Squirtle. Grass Pokemon are a waste of time and you can acquire a growlith (to turn into an Arcanine who are fukkin' bad ass) later on for dem fire gains. Or a Vulpix if Pokemon Blue.
