Does everyone occasionally feel completely alone / uncared for?

I guess its normal to feel this but I guess if you look deeper we all have someone who cares for us.

Dude, that my life.

i mean i can type a bunch of stuff to ensure you that people do care about you but nothing will make u feel better if you dont do anything about it. yes its easier said than done but even just going outside and walking around (alone) is better than feeling bad about it inside and surfing the internet/tv... etc.

remember that communication is a two way street. dont expect others to hit u up and hang out.... they might be feeling the same way. intiate contact. and dont let it be forgotten either. humans are so bad about this stuff... they take things for granted and dont really appreciate things. if someone takes effort to care about u... show ur appreciation. dont dump them later on if u get more people who care about u later on... always be grounded, humble, and appreciative.

I do sometimes. I have family that cares about me and close friends that care about me to some extent. But I've never had a woman care about me in a romantic sense, and that's what I've always longed for.

Yeah, I have been working on my phd for 3.5 years now in a computational area of physics. It can be a hard slog and hard to find genuine friendship. I am female and in a really male dominated field. I can *try* to be friends with guys I meet but it keeps not working out when they get feelings (no, I don't hook up, lead on, literally nothing). Rinse and repeat.

I am trying to work on it and putting more attention onto the few women I know for friendship. PhD can be a long road they say. I get it now.

You should feel alone sometimes. You come into the world alone. You die alone. Most people care only about themselves. Even your spouse sometimes. You are alone. Embrace it.

Every day...welcome to the beginning of the rest of your life.

Chit, I had a meeting with a large food manufacturer at my office yesterday. 8 of their employees flew in for 3 US-based locations to look at how we can improve a process. 11 hours of testing, meetings, hosting, etc...then a 90-minute drive home to an empty house. And there are 9 people that care about how that day went and what comes of it...no one cares, man...sorry.

But I know I have my family and they always got my back, but its just lonely a lot of the times without a core group of buddies, everyone is just an aquaintance.

Thinking about it, I would honestly say I'm more concerned about not having a partnerI can care about, rather than not being cared about. I'm used to people not caring about me but I miss caring about somebody and wanting to protect them.

I always feel alone because I lack a social life and a real connection. Life is all about connecting with ppl at work and having ppl you can relate to and experience things with.
