Quit leaving a 45 on each side of the bar
You guys that do this are only one step above the savages that leave everything on. I understand that there is a false, unwritten rule that a single 45 is a "courtesy." It isn't. One hand you have brahs like myself that like to warm up with a naked bar, but forget about people like me. There are people who will have trouble moving a 45lb plate and even some that cannot. Kinda fks with their routine if they cannot move it.
The true courtesy is leaving an empty bar for the next user.
Inb4...
1-Op is a *******
2- Op can't move 45lb plates
3- Op is a twink
4- Just fuk u OP

Something similar happened to me this morning when I went to the gym. Went in to warm up with an empty bar for bench and every bar was on the floor with 120kg on them.

Wat is the point of warming up with a bar? There is no tension to even consider it a warm up.

I actually agree. I see girls and old people trying to take off the 45s people leave behind and one of these days they are going to drop it on their foot.
I always wipe down the equipment before and after I use it too. See too many people who look like they should be quarantined at the cdc coughing everywhere at the gym.
Starting to realize most people at the gym are ass holes.

I just leave 2 45's on both sides of the left side of the bar, two pointing to the right and one to the left, that way there is at least 1 to 2 45's pointing in either direction instead of just both and it doesn't confuse anyone.

It depends on what it is. If it's free weights I'll clear the bar. If it's a leg press, hammer strength machine, etc. I'll typically leave one 45 on per side. If you can't do one 45 per side on those machines then you should probably stick to the barbell until you get stronger anyway am I right?

Put your weights back *******s. In a commercial gym you have newbies, women who are less strong and especially older people. You can get away with that at a powerlifting or crossfit gym, but in a commercial gym, how about you be an adult and put it back.

Why stop there.
You should take the bar and place it in the corner of the room or on a bar rack if your gym has one. People might want to do other things on the bench like stretching, sit ups, or pushups.
