Beef jerky

Beef Jerky Outlet flavor Fire (aka Fire on the Mountain) is the best beef jerky around. Great texture, good heat. It is expensive now but who cares others than poors.

I have a charcoal smoker and do the dr pepper jerky recipe on heygrillhey.com it is pretty amazing. But it is a lot of work and during the winter it is cold on the fingers hanging 6lbs of meat on the racks.

Has to be the XL bag tho, for some reason the regular bags aren’t near as moist.

Krave lime and the orange bag (chipotle?) are good too if you get a fresh bag

Also Jamaican “Perky Jerky” turkey jerky is the jam too
I like the dry textures. I hate moist jerky.

I don't particularly favor a certain brand. But, I love the sweet and hot flavor along with peppered. Total orgasm in my mouth.

Never used skirt, my local Mexican grocery store sells thin sliced round, trim the fat, marinate, throw on dehydrated and by end of day or next morning you have jerky seasoned to preference

TBH once I started using ground beef i never went back, its the best imo

I use a cheap nesco, and can make about 3lbs at a time. I have a basic seasoning with few ingredients I use, to try and capture as much pure meat flavor as can, like a good steak.

you actually have a good point there. Guess sodium doesn't hurt you in terms of gaining fat and being too bloated when you have a blue collar job and are doing strenuous chit in the gym.

Does anyone know if their is low sodium beef jerky?

I used to eat a lot of old trapper from walmart for $11/bag but try to cut down on nitrate added jerky since i eat so much. $4/bag is insane and i wouldnt pass up unless it was years old.

I agree. Unless you shoot a deer or buy a whole cow, or have an absolute perfect recipe, not much incentive to make your own.

I usually use "london broil". Eye round is usually recommended as well. Anything lean. Loin or tenderloin for pork.

There used to be this great beef jerky company called Crockett Creek. The local Beef Jerky Outlet went under because the government decided to fuk businesses over a virus.
