Not going to lie Misc, the Jimmies are a bit Rustled tonight

Got stood up and then stunted on by ex-hookup.

Was talking to girl off Bumble for a couple weeks, we had plans last weekend to hang out, she didn't confirm the time and then ghosted me for 48 hours before writing a fukking essay apologizing about some work drama. OP says no sweat, would Sunday work, she says yes and that she's excited.

OP casually talks to an old hookup that now lives out of state she tells me I'm an idiot and I'll get stood-up. OP confirms date Saturday night, OP lives an hour away and texts girl he's heading down, no response, OP slowly starts to realize he's going to get stood-up, gets to date location and no show. Call girl and she has me blocked, check Bumble and she deleted her profile, Jakes on me, then 20 minutes into drive home, ex hookup texts me to confirm that she was right and I got stood up.

I confirm she was right then ex hookup tells me she’s getting wine drunk tonight and wants to skype sex.

Such is life.

By talking a couple weeks it was more “I’ll be in town on X date”, there were maybe 5 texts sent back and forth.

I own a gym in their town and come down every week or two to check in so it’s rare I grab coffee with someone the day or two after matching.

You’re first mistake is agreeing to meet Sunday when she already stood you up this awarded her bad behavior and you sounded too available which lowered your status even more. This is why you should always at least a couple more girls on your rotation.

True, but the biggest mistake (besdes texting for 2 weeks) was OP DRIVING AN HOUR down to her place after she stood him up the time before.

Once that stand up happened, the ONLY way OP should still go out with the girl is if she drives up to his place, comes to the door in a tight skirt, and is holding a bottle of alcohol.

No way OP that you should have driven down there after she blew you off the first time. That right there sealed in her eyes that you are a low test beta and a 'nice guy'. You had a chance after she sent the essay to get complete hand in the situation and instead you caved and any interest in you flew out the window.

Agreed, tbh this is a bit tongue in cheek, I was admittedly looking forward to the date, but was pretty sure by the time I got there I was going to get rickrolled.


I fully expected the ex-hookup to throw some shade as she still wants the D and gets a bit jealous when we talk about our lives.

It's just one of those "oh well" moments where I really don't understand the rationale behind her being so enthusiastic about hanging out and then dropping off. Is what it is. Gym still opens at 4:30 am tomorrow and my puppy was happy to have me home early.
