Misc, What great advice has your dad given you?

My dad is an old school miscer type so I figured you guys might enjoy some of the advice he's given me over the years

"Only queers turn down sex, unless they're fat" (he's LTC crew)

"You'd have to be a mongoloid to fail college. The only thing I ever studied was how to grow dope in the ag library and I graduated"

"All women are whores if you're man enough" (Old school way to say high value maybe)

"Only marry a woman who'll fuk you everyday. Your mom would only give it up twice a week and I can't live like that so that's why I had to start cheating on her" (I almost fukn punched him for this one)

"Never fight in front of people you don't know in case you take it too far and have to throw em in the swamp"

Once my brother told him this woman down the road was a crack whoore and she'd give you a bj for a rock a light bulb went off in his head so he learned to cook crack. When my brother and I questioned him on why he would go to all that trouble to get bjs from a nasty crack sloot he told us that "If she's gonna be suckin d it might as well be mine"

My dad was a hardcore dude, Army Ranger in Vietnam and tough as nails. I remember being a young boy and I asked him to see pictures from his military days.
He started sorting through pictures (actual photos in an album, this was the 80s) and turned the page...immediately started crying. Closed the book and was silent.
I asked him why he was crying. Took me a bit as a child to realize he was seeing pictures of friends he lost.

He said, "Ignore people that tell you real men don't cry...don't ever be afraid to cry if the person is worth the tears."

This is coming from a man that would ask me if I wanted him to give me something to cry about when I was being a whiny bitch when I didn't get what I wanted.

RIP Dad

Damn OP, now you got me all teared up.

I don't think my dad ever comprehended how much money or looks matter since his was born with money and was an absolute gigachad back in the day. Seriously ever gf I've ever had that's seen a pic of him before he turned 40 is like "Holy Chit!" He drank a case of a beer a day and didn't take care of himself so he aged like chit after 40 though. I do appreciate the fact that he chose to have kids with a woman who was almost 6'. I only turned out to be his height, 6'2", so not the best height genetics considering the gene pool I was working with. If he had married a womanlet I might be 5'6" or something

ah. I wish I grew up with brothers to keep it real. I think pointing out imperfections probably helps you compete.

My dad, both real dad with whom I’ve developed a relationship with in my late 20s and my stepdad who did most of my raising both said the same thing: just be better than we were.

I think when I was 15 we drove past the tradie school and he said one day you'll go there.

I remember I thought I was too good for the trades, but went to two universities and didn't graduate, should've listened to him.

My mom's dad was awesome. He taught me how to work on mechanical things and always spent time with me. My dad's dad was like a happier more extroverted version of my dad. After my grandmother died me and my cousin walked in my dad's dad getting a bj from his girlfriend. He was like 75 years old...
