The Rise And Fall Of Elliot Hulse - Nostaligia

I got interested in Elliot's videos around Yo Elliot/Open Gym days (Phase 3 in the video). I stopped following him once he went down the feminine/fasting path, and completely turned off when it went ultra red pill.

I thought I would just leave this video on the background, but ended up watching the whole video.

Recommended if you have an hour to spare, and were/are a fan of Elliot Hulse.




I actually identify with Elliot that I get periodically obsessed with things, follow them to an extreme, and then abandon them.

(Dammit, I spelt Nostalgia wrong in the title.)

He looks fatter than ever now, I get it he's 41 and not in his physical prime but how are you going to advertise fitness when your gut is hanging over your shorts?
I used to follow him back in the day but he's gone downhill now.

i agreed with some of the things he says but didn't like his more physisophical videos. I find a some of the older fitness guys on Youtube's early days like Tiger Fitness, Hodgetwins I watched them long enough to find qualities bout them that annoyed me to the point I stopped watching entirely but when they stick to just fitness stuff, the content is usually good

Shame, he used to be a solid guy and was one of the early youtube personalities in the space, and hasn't maxed out on that early success when youtube started paying

elliot hulse is one of the guys who got me into lifting srs, he was pretty much one of the OGs of the youtube fitness community when it was very small.

he gave good and legit advice, ran a very small gym, seemed like an overall good dude about that positivity. being a stronger version of yourself is always a good message to put out there I guess.

Unfortunately after 2010 the guy would just go off on a whole bunch of pseudo-intellectual ramblings for half his video that didn't really have much to do with anything and it became a lot harder to watch him. Also started preaching a lot of pseudo-science bullchit.

It gets worse, he basically runs a "strength cult" that would make Rippetoe jealous and went 100% redpill. scamming beta-males "in need of a man" in their lives to shape them up and make them more "alpha".


Just phucking lol .... but I guess I can't hate on him tho. He literally started from some chithole garage making youtube videos that made no money to running strength camps that are pretty much worldwide and is franchising the brand/label. There's an actual strength camp gym franchise here in Toronto. I went to a powerlifting meet and met the guy who was the owner of the strength camp franchise. Strong dude and cool, but from what I hear the franchises aren't so bad because the owners get some leeway on how they run/train people.

but absolutely just phucking lol at those actual "camps", I get some srs jim jones vibes from it. he could be the leader of an incel uprising or something.
