Homemade Pressure-Cooker Beef Stew (best thing I ever made)

https://imgur.com/gallery/AEWFHAS

Chuck roast pressure cooked with vegetables, Tomato paste, red wine, fresh herbs, and potatoes.

Finished with a little Dijon mustard and Tabasco sauce.

One of the best things I ever ate. Damn I’m good.

Das it. I make that and crockpot chicken vegetable soup all the time.

Pro-tip: If you want it to last longer split it up with freshly boiled pearl couscous and vegetable stock. (or beef/chicken stock if you prefer)

I assure you, soy sauce and butter were a part of this. Worchestershire and a dash of fish sauce as well. Mushrooms were also part of this but next time I will go beyond white button and also add some dried cremini. I’m all about that Umami lyfe brah

And do you throw everything in at once, or do you have to add different ingredients at different times?

I made some brisket chili a few times that was awesome.

I also made stewed cabbage as well as enchiladas.

I don't use it enough though

Pressure/slow cookers are GOAT when it comes to good tasting easy to make stew.

Just throw in a can of carrots/corn/peas chop up some cheap meat and potatoes along with some sort of beef bullion and it will come out amazing every time.

One of the easiest/cheapest recipes out there.

Try Xantham gum instead of cornstarch as a thickening agent. Won’t impact the flavor as much

I make beef stew, but always also make dumplings in it. Like Biskuit pancake mix and I just dump the dough into the beef-stew. It's pretty good.

He 100% seared it, you can easily see.

Got a slow cooker for christmas and I love it. The way it's able to infuse flavors and tendorize in such a short period of time is amazing. Hell I bought the air fryer lid for mine and made some chik fil A knockoff chicken that was as good as the deep fried kind I've made.

I'm actually going to make a slow cooker pot roast myself for this evening. Good stuff, OP! There really is nothing like a nice hearty, rustic roast when it's -20 outside.

Most times I just look something up online, usually off youtube.

Ex the brisket chili I made was like the first or second video on how to make chili on youtube.

I just put my version together in my slow cooker. Made a red wine/beef stock 'sauce' or whatever you wanna call it. Once it has stewed long enough, I'll turn that sauce into a gravy and thicken it in a pan.

Will report later with results.

looksgood. srs.

pro-tip for next time:

boil 8 guajillo chiles & 8 new mexico peppers. (de-seeded & stemmed of course)
use that water for the instapot
add 10 bay leaves into the instapot
add a whole white onion to instapot (for flavor)

OPTIONAL: use a nutri bullet or similar to grind/blend the boiled chiles & peppers & add it to the instapot
