Critique my first video.

Was driving to town today and took the opportunity to try and get used to speaking on camera. Am starting a youtube channel eventually, hunting, trapping, fishing, winter camping, etc. and would prefer to do a better job of it rather than a chit one.


I hate it, but you have to start somewhere. its pretty boring, but I needed to talk about something...Oh, and hair shops are closed, so I grabbed some scissors and clippers and cut my own hair last night...

First ever video, let me have it *******s. Criticism welcome. About 6 mins long.

Why film this while driving? Are you too nervous to just sit in front of a camera and film? Lose the shades, as well.

Your diction is fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

Is the steering wheel on the right on that car or is it just some camera angle trickery?

Also gjdm on the self haircut. I'm looking like a damn hobo these days but don't have the gnads to try cutting it myself as I'm sure I'd absolutely butcher it.

Pretty darn good for a first video brah. Not much dead time which is what people usually struggle with. Try to cut down your ‘uhh’ unless you’re trying to copy our beloved prime minister.

Remember that you can ramble and pause as much as you want - you should be removing those during editing, so that the final video appears as a single cohesive stream of thoughts. Even if it wasn't when filming.

There are apps you can get on your phone that automatically filter out long pauses and whatnot, splicing together sections of the video in which you're actually talking.

Don't say things like "it's difficult to explain, you have to experience it" then try to explain...

Make a video of the trapping and film in detail when you skin your prey and how you aroused it makes you as you snuff the life out of a weaker, lesser being and perhaps start wearing some of your kills IN the videos where you skin a bear and wear its face while you slaughter beavers with blood sweat tears

people will like this. the average person is let's face it sitting around watching video games not interested in the outdoors that they once did - get back to nature. Nasty, blood natuure.

Also talk more about how the nation was founded on beaver because that's just fukin hot

I heard of those apps. They cut in when you start up again. I wonder if they will work with a gopro too?

I dont plan on just talking vids, that seems boring, but rather actual videos of course.
