New privacy search engine from Brave, you aware? Alternative to DuckDuckGo, etc

I usually stay up to date on tech stuff, but I missed this.

Well, it's in beta so hopefully it will improve.

The competition is so strong that I believe they have something they are pretty confident will succeed without fizzling out.

There's a bunch of information our there about the technology behind it which is pretty fascinating to delve into, although I'm not going to pretend to understand all the development stuff

Google knows exactly who you are just by the content of your browsing and search history lmao. Unless you're obfuscating that data with automated random web searches and page visits for random duration of time, you aren't doing enough

This is the most important thing IMO.

Anything that claims privacy as its main feature is already compromised by 3 letter agencies.

is to archiving websites/forums that are going offline
many websites are OFF, and people are forced & directed to the social media monoply.

Awesome. I remember reading that Brave was coming out with a search engine independent of Google and Microsofts Bing. I'll have to be sure to use it.

I thought Brave got criticized for not being as private as they claimed to be

but I could be wrong. It is my preferred mobile browser but it's just easier for me to set up the way I like it
