If tests only show if positive or not, who is doing extra testing for delta variant?

Are they sending the tests somewhere else after?

Why arent they testing negatives too?

If the negatives are showing positive in the delta test, then the test is bonk.

The PCR tests will be positive for any of them ( heck they can be positive for a lot of other stuff other than covid ).

It wouldn't make sense to test the negatives, there is nothing to test.
In order for a test to be both valid and robust, negatives must always be tested as well.
