Should gays be allowed to use surrogates to have kids?

Wife recently found out that due to a medical issue she can't have kids..no fault of ours...she's kind of devastated...

Been on surrogate pages lately and found out we will be competing with gay people to even get a surrogate at all.


I'm a pretty accepting fella, but..

Should people who can't due to medical issues not get first pick over these people?

Should I be as bitter as I am about this?

Agreed. They can have leftover kids. Better them than nobody, but definitely lower priority than real couples.

I’m so sorry Op. My husband and I have dealt with infertility issues the last few years. My heart goes out to you and your wife. Apply and see what happens. There are surrogates out there who probably don’t want to carry a child for a gay couple due to their beliefs and would rather help a couple like you and your wife. Do you have family or a friend willing to help you out?

We have a friend who did a private surrogacy and she said it was better than agency. Buy we are just wading into it now. Have embryos iced.

That’s good you have some embryos to use. That’s one step ahead of some people. So stay positive!

That’s awful! Is there anything they can do to repair any damage? I had a miscarriage in middle of 2020, but chose to do the pill. There is no easy solution when it comes to that.

Is there such a thing as a Christian/religious based surrogate agency? Keep doing research till you find a good fit.

Never too old for most things, but the surrogacy cutoff is 35 unfortunately.

My wife found out that once you are over 35 your pregnancy is referred to as a "geriatric pregnancy".

She wasn't a fan of hearing that lol

Yes. I'm not too keen and gays having kids (ESPECIALLY lesbians, it's almost definitely over for those kids), but them potentially getting priority over a hetero couple (assuming they have their shyt together of course) is extra ridiculous imo.

This isn’t about the homos, this is about the kids. Is it fair to these kids to be forced in to homes without a mother or father? We know the effects of weak parents, weak family units missing a mother or father, and this is no different. A man cannot provide what a woman can, and he has to accept that truth. A woman cannot provide what a man can, and she has to accept this.

There are people out there that have written books about being raised in the homes and it wasn’t until they were adults that they realized they were robbed out of a good home and it took them years to realize the results of that.

Gays and lesbians taking in children is extremely selfish. They are only thinking of themselves, whether they want to believe that or not. As usually, far leftists never think of the outcomes and people affected, only their emotions

its pretty good bank. There are legal fees, but a surrogate is likely to cost me 100 gs.

Even if they only get 60 of that, an extra 60k for not smoking and drinking is decent.

Most gay brahs I know are surprisingly based. They’re also well-educated and earn high incomes. I would have no problem with them raising children.

I can’t say the same for lesbians or transgenders. I would genuinely worry for the mental well-being of any kids they parent.
