I remember watching the other day a mention that Twitter was likely going to plant a poison pill to stop Elon Musk from buying the company. Hope Twitter's efforts fails. What I saw on this ~

Looks like it's a lowball offer and they are not liking the deal otherwise it should have gone to $54.2+

Musk is moving too fast for them, they kinda waited to long to prepare.

The shareholders are morons if they don’t take this deal and run, especially considering the upcoming questionable financial environment.

I wonder how many shareholders openly or quietly 100% support Musk coming in and transforming them from a leftist safe space to something that had more free speech.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Don’t really care about Twitter, but one look at the talking heads so vehemently against this (Joy Reid, eunuch Stelter) will tell you how much of a good thing it is.

He will get it. Twitter shares are super diluted, musk him self is the biggest holder with 9%. He only needs 42% more to take control and take it private. What retards wouldn't accept a buy out at such a big premium ?

It’s 38% over the price since he announced his purchase in the original filing.

On this news it’s up over 10% pre-trading

If they don’t take it - he’s indicated he will sell his stake - which may cause shareholders a 40% loss in current value.

He’s got them by the balls - some other group can step in though…

Step 1. Buy Twitter
Step 2. Lock all comments and turn the entire site into this:

There's no moat built around Twitter.

Someone with the pull and pockets of Elon Musk could create their own platform, market it, and acquire a large amount of users for for less than $54 billion, and put a serious hurting on Twitter in the process.

They should take the deal.

Looks like the libs running the company would rather thumb their noses at Musk than to make money by honoring his offer.

If Twitter rejects Musk's offer, Paraga has to resign, as will most of the board. They will have acted directly against the financial interests of shareholders, violating their fiduciary duty.

Hostile takeover was a term used in the late 1980's with people like Michael Milliken, Paul Bilzerian, etc. who issued high interest rate junk bonds and used the money to buy the stock. They would do this when the real assets owned by the C-corp were worth more than the market value of the stock. After that, they sold the assets, fired the employees and all the shareholders profited.

The only ones who would characterize Elon's offer as hostile are those leftist saps who work there.

lol.
Libs are terrified they may lose the power to ban someone they don't like from twitter.
they are even more terrified of twitters rules being applied to everyone equally.
which, let's face it, is nowhere near the case with twitter.

interested in seeing what happens.
