ITT: decided to bake another protein cheesecake (cutting brahs GTFIH)

It's been a while but I made another one of these. It came out really nicely and surprisingly dense. I made a blueberry sauce by cooking blueberries in a pot with a bit of water and letting the natural pectin thicken the whole mixture, letting it cool and set in the fridge, and adding it on top.

340g 2% cottage cheese
300g cherry greek yogurt
2 scoops chocolate whey
cinnamon powder
vanilla extract
2 eggs

Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes then @ 200 for 25 minutes. Let it set in the fridge overnight. Love baking this during cuts. High in nutrition and protein, low in carbs, and it definitely does not feel like something you'd eat at the ass end of a cut

I split it into 4 portions and it's 6g fat, 15g carbs, and 29g protein per portion.

I've tried it with cookies n cream whey. That was particularly good with blueberries mixed in the batter whole and baked. Is there anything better than smelling baking blueberries in cake wafting across the house?

Yup, I put it in a mixer and blend it up good. I toss in whole blueberries and then just dump that in a circular cake pan that has been lined with parchment paper and I plop it in the oven.

I mix greek yogurt and whey together to make chocolate protein pudding on a daily basis. This cake is just an interesting way of mixing those kinds of ingredients together and making something new. It's all about keeping yourself interested during a cut, particularly around the end.

i had a friend who is a good coach teach me that the more you try and "beat" sweet cravings on a cut/prep, the more they will show their face. If you stop trying to beat them and just stop eating sweets, the cravings go away. Probably the best first step on a cut. Only sweet thing you should have is a protein shake/oats.

Trust me I have done the sweet protein treats game to the max, made protein cheesecakes, protein cupcakes, protein cake with protein icing, all kinds of protein ice cream and puddings and cookie doughs, and on and on and on. Its fun to do but it ****s with your head SO much more on a cut than just dropping the damn sweets altogether.

that being said this looks amazing and kudos for it, just my 2 cents for people to consider if they are having trouble beating the sweets

I think if I tried to go cold turkey I would just end up binging really hard at the end of my cut. To each their own.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Mind you, I used to do it this way and this is the first protein baked thing I made since I began cutting in early March. I've been pretty good at sticking to my overarching rules. However, and this might not be the greatest approach, I do allow myself a brief cheat window on Fridays to eat stuff like a pizza and some cake and a beer or two. My real cravings are satiated by that 'cheat window.' This is just slapping ingredients I already eat on a daily basis together and making a concoction using them. Having said that, I don't eat cottage cheese too often but will have greek yogurt on a daily basis.
