Breakup : Why being rejected hurts so much ?

I'm here crying my eyes out, questioning my whole existence and feeling like an absolute piece of chit over a 3 months relationship with a woman I can't say that I love and that most of you would consider cute at best and is the textbook definition of the random vapid insta girl.

But she rejected me.

Being rejected means :

-I wasn't good enough
-She thinks she can do better
-She'd rather stay single for a while than keep seeing me.
-She didn't manage to catch feels for me : certainly because I'm not as lovable as I think that I am

I was pondering whether to breakup with her or not for a few days because certain requirements were not met : she was barely available and was not making much effort into seeing each other.

She pulled the trigger first and now here I am suffering in the limbo of heartbreak with a destroyed ego.

I want her back so much, the neural system in my back aches so much that I need to be on drugs to sustain the pain.

It's not the first time and probably not the last but this one is taking a heavy toll on me : I can only go through this much breakups before being permanently damaged.

My time is running out : I'm turning 32 in a month, I don't have much time before being unable to settle down with a worthy woman.

Am I going to make it brahs ?

Idk I have never been rejected because I'm good enough, they can't do better than me, they want to be with me, and they always catch feels.

You were in love with a hooker a year or 2 ago. You've obviously got more issues that the common miscer can relate to.

Basically someone will only break up with you if they think you’re beneath them, they view you as pathetic and you hold little value. It crushes your ego

Because deep down you know that the “it wasn’t meant to be” is cope, and being broken up with is her way of saying “I’m better than you and I can do better than you”, and if you know she’s right it is an incredible sting

You need to address your underlying issues that cause you to feel this way boio. This ain't masculine behavior.

On an objective level I'm better than her : In my career, finances, place of living,intellect,etc...

But she's some 7,5/10 24 yo girl and that only is worth much more than all I have to offer so in a way yeah she's better than me an can surely catch better than me at this point in her life.

So yeah, she went back to the absolute cesspool of dating back where we met and that is what stings the most : She'd rather go back in this hellhole than wait a few weeks before dating again or stay with me. Was I really so meaningless to her ?

Time to focus on building up your self esteem and sense of self worth instead of focusing on "settling down"

You're gonna make it brah, man up and cheer up. You're more than worthy of a proper partner but first focus on strengthening that self esteem so further setbacks from lowly people won't hurt you so much.

Maybe it's just not meant to be : I should just give up on that idea of creating a family and having kids with a woman I find attractive and who I can halfway tolerate.

Sorry dad and all my forefathers : I did my best but this is where it all ends.

bruh, change your perspective

dont see it as rejection, as cliche as that sounds. Life is just one opportunity after the next, this one passed and now theres still and infinite amount of opportunities. If you want to put in effort there are BETTER ones, if you dont, theres just different ones.

The degree to which you are upset about a breakup is in direct relation to how far outside your normal boundaries you went. For example, you despise the opera but you decide you will go to one with her and the relationship doesn't work out then you would be more upset. If you had said 'nah, i don't go to opera's' and she left you then wouldn't bother me a bit. Don't get too invested so early in a relationship. Keep your boundaries because even though she might act like she doesn't like it; nevertheless, she respects your undaunted resolve and knows that you will always do what you say.

What's the longest you've been in a relationship before OP? Can you at least think of this as a relationship PR that you can build upon for progressive overload?

You were with her for only 2 months, it’s likely the way you carry yourself turned her off. Us guys tend to get a little excited of the chick is really hot and fun and we’ll subconsciously tip our hand and project those feelings. When you do that she’ll be drier than the Sahara

We’ve all been there, those can hurt more because those chicks are really fun.
